I always go to Caspar's and get the Polish dog. It is the best in the county. The milk shakes are excellent, too. And all at a very reasonable price.

I am a gourmand, snooty about food, but sometimes you need to return to your childhood. I choose Caspers for that nostalgia. The texture of the dog is just great and the servers will customize your embellishments from fresh sliced tomatoes to relish. Did you know Caspers was founded in 1934 and still family owned?

Stand in line, order good hot dogs for here or to go...fountain drinks and chips too. This is a popular place with little parking. So expect to park on the street and wait in line

All they have are hot dogs, so you can't go wrong. Their dogs are great tasting, made fresh while you watch and they have all the toppings to make your lunch or dinner taste great!

A bay area specialty. Have been eating them for many years and they have always been good! My children must have a Casper's when they come to town. Is something I crave for lunch occasionally. All the waitresses are pleasant and in most they have been there a long time. Must try if you have never had one.

The few remaining Casper's franchises stick to the original quality details. The dog pops with each bite. Juicy, with just the right salt and spice. I don't mess with the chili and cheese and such - just give me a dog in a bun, a squeeze of mustard and, on rare occasions, some nuclear green relish.

Every time my mother in law comes to town she had to have Casper's hotdogs. My husband lives them too. Me, I could care less. 😎

Small joint with great hot dogs. I prefer a chicken cheese dog with mayo, mustard, onions and dill pickle spears. Good stuff. The chili dogs are extra good, too. I've eaten here for decades, but have never tried the tamales. Try them and review it for me. :)

If you grew up in or near Pleasant Hill, you can't help but feel attached to this place. It's a time warp-nothing has changed since I first came here in 1964 and I love it for that. Fast friendly service, in spite of the lunch line.

If you want a genuine hot dog with great flavor that "pops" in your mouth, this is the place. I hadn't seen this old friend for a while, but she still has all the great food and atmosphere which has brought her a sterling reputation through the years. The decor is about the same, and more importantly, the food was... More
