A large restaurant with mediocre food. The best thing about this place is the oyster bar. Lots of families with young kids and the noise level is high.

Their selection of dishes is tremendous. No other eatery has such a range of fish plus it's own fish takeout shop. Salads like the warm spinach salads you can order with other additional toppings like smoked salmon or big sea of Cortez prawns. Fish specials of the day are super grilled or blackened to your liking. Favorite is the New... More

Came back after work and KM way to airport, my favourite place for seafood . First time came to Polo alto branch and food was as good. Selected oyster, clam and a glass of wine. Friendly waiter who eager to serve and recommend the food. Enjoy and is very family friendly style restaurant !

We started with shrimp cocktails (good, except we were surprised that we got baby shrimp here, and my friend asked for horse radish to spice up the sauce) and the artichoke appetizer, which was really delicious. We both ordered grilled fish (I had the sole and asked for a lemon caper sauce--it was not fabulous, but it did the job).... More

We ended up taking our school trip of about 60 here when another restaurant couldn't accommodate us. This was pretty short notice and was no problem for the place. We were ushered in to tables with plenty of room and were served hot bread within a couple of minutes. The took drink orders quickly and then took individual orders from... More

Visited the place after the reviews. Crowded on a Sunday with big groups. Despite that, service was decent unlike the reviews I read. We had the cioppino - would recommend to have it without cheese otherwise it really smells like pizza. Fish mahi mahi was awesome especially the mash.

If you're looking for a great, fresh fish meal The Fish Market is the place. The service is good too. My wife and I had enjoyable fish meals at reasonable prices.

I had salmon each time I've been to The Fish Market. It's a great place to visit and worth any type of wait time you have to endure.

Unfortunately, I didn't care for the food much. Maybe it was what I ordered. My husband seemed to have enjoyed his meal, but he didnt are for the service. More than likely we will not be visiting that restaurant again.

Description
Our first restaurant has been a Palo Alto institution since its doors opened in 1976. With the brand new addition of an oyster bar, cocktail bar and lounge area, there are now even more ways to experience this unique restaurant. The expansive retail market remains a popular stop for local residents seeking to take home the finest in fresh fish.
