I had the waffles with crispy chicken. The waffles were very tasty and crispy and th chicken was perfectly cooked, tender with a crispy light coating and not greasy. My husband had the blueberry buttermilk pancakes and they were nice and fluffy and very tasty. Cooked perfectly. Would definitely go back

A restaurant that does equal justice to both meat and plant eaters with a lot of options and variety. The ambience is old world and works best for the food served. Tempura fried vegetables were delightfully arranged and were crisp .. Goat cheese beets and california walnut pizza was amazing .. so was the main course dish of butternut squash... More

Calafia Cafe was a nice surprise. Sitting outside on the rare California sun this month was a bonus. The menu is packed with delicious food. Almost too much to choose from. Sandwiches come with fries or salad and are served on a wooden board which adds a rustic feel to Cafalia balancing the more sophisticated food.

I don't think you can go wrong eating here except it is a little pricey. Easy parking, and quickly seated with great, friendly service. The chef is famous having been the chef at Google. I will definitely be back again!

After eating many meals at the original Charlie's cafe (Googleplex), decided to give Charlie's own venture a try. We went there for breakfast. The place is located in the nice Town and Country Village in Palo Alto near Stanford. Parking was easy. No rush since it was breakfast, was seated immediately. The ambience was casual and comfy yet chic and... More

Absolutely not expecting the salmon bowl to be so amazing-I expected good. Unfortunately, this is a Chef's special and not available every day. If I lived in Palo Alto, I would show up every day, just to catch it on occasion!

Had dinner with friends at 25th reunion. Had odd mix of meat eaters and vegans. None were disappointed. All the food handmade including the condiments. I had the squash gnocchi, delicious and my vegan friend raved about the vegan burger. The desserts of the the apple fritter and banana split were phenomenal. We also tried the vegan ice cream, ugh,... More

Good place for a beer or snack on a Stanford football Saturday. Located just across El Camino from Stanford and next to Palo Alto/Gunn High School (parking on game days!).

This is the place to eat in Palo Alto if you are vegan or if you have a group that has all types of eaters. They have a menu that on one side is for 'plant eaters' and the other is for 'meat eaters.' I had the Lexi Lentil bowl and it was super fantastic! Bustling place for lunch but... More

Ok so this was apparently steve jobs favorite place to eat, there is a signed picture of him over his favorite seat. Im guessing he had a strange taste in food, this really wasnt for me. I can understand that it has a very good vegetarian menu though, i should go back and try something different i guess.

Description
In 2009, Charlie Ayers leased nearly 5,000 square feet of space in the Town & Country Shopping Plaza across from Stanford University, realizing his dream of a owning neighborhood spot serving organic, sustainable, healthy, delicious food. Calafia Cafe & Market A Go-Go was an instant hit, and today still has crowds lining up to get a seat. This casual restaurant has an energetic vibe, and serves food inspired by the incredible bounty that is available in California. Calafia continues to bring the Silicon Valley community and its visitors together around fresh, farm-to-table cuisine in an always festive atmosphere.
