Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

So we needed to take a dessert to a friends party and it’s was recommended that the pies here are the best. So we went there to check them out. Explained to the person at front I was looking for a cake and or pie. She took us to the showcase which is really quite high and basically said here you go.
When she came back later to see what I wanted I explained that I had no clue what they were as there was no labelling on any of the desserts.
Once she went through them all we decided on the carrot cake. It was huge, in fact wouldn’t even fit in the box. 50 dollars later we had a massive cake where nobody could finish their piece at the party. It was overkill.
And it was okay. Not fantastic. Just okay.
Should have bought a pie.

We eat at this place frequently and always get great service and good food at a reasonable price. Billy Reed’s is a wonderful place for a lunch or a casual dinner. It is not the place you would choose for fine dining or for a romantic evening out. The menu is extensive. The staff and kitchen are always checking to be sure that you are getting what you ordered and are pleased with your selections.

A spur of the moment decision to visit at Billy Reed's with no reservation. We spent about 10 minutes in the bar and had a nice chat with a local. The menu is extensive and we selected the Trout Almondine and the Ribeye Steak. Before the entree we were served a mini-loaf of cornbread, and a choice of several soups and salads. Our server had the timing down perfectly as our entrees arrived piping hot. Our server was very busy but still attentive to us. Overall we have a very nice evening.

This place has its fans but I'm not one of them. The interior is dark and uninviting, with no windows, air flow, or outdoor space. The menu is extensive but unexciting and overpriced. The food was mediocre at best and left us nauseous. Service was absent and unconcerned--we had to flag someone down for a missing drink order and for coffee refills. And then there's the meth addict swaying aloof while blocking our drive through the parking lot. At least the koi pond and turtles are cute.

Stopped for early dinner, 4:00 PM.
Service was very good, friendly and helpful when asked about items on the menu.
I had the ribs,,,very good and very meaty. I usually eat complete meal but I had to take 4 ribs home. They were a great lunch the next day.
My wife had fish tacos and they were marvelous. She usually brings part of her meal home when we go out, but she could not resist eating the complete meal.
Highly recommend giving Billy’s a try.

If you want to go to a blast from the past restaurant, this is the place to go. Feels like walking into an 1980's or 1990's Wisconsin Supper Club or Chicago Family-Style Restaurant.
Long, varied menu with something for everyone except the stuffy gourmet who wants tiny portions of food that look more like art than food.
If you want a good meal, with nice size portions, this is the place to go.
I am gluten-free and the server was knowledgeable about it. She steered me to a delectable salmon meal because she knew that could be cooked correctly, without contamination.
Knocked one star off because the atmosphere could use some updating.

A very large restaurant with old fashioned decor and a huge menu. Great service and good food. All portions are very large and prices very reasonable. Great value overall. Breakfast lunch and dinner served at any time of their 8 am to 9 pm daily hours.

We went here initially because we didn't want to wait in the 99 degree heat for other places. But what a surprise! Not only is it full of character - from the 70s - we had great service and food.
Trying to eat light, we ordered salads. Decided on the whole Shrimp Louie, as it was only $4 more than the half. It was monstrous! In a good way. Loaded with shrimp, and many garnishes. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, and the thousand island dressing was tasty. I would skip the garlic bread next time and order a different bread, as it was dry. My chardonnay was a good pour.
Husband ordered the Avocado stuffed with Tuna Salad, and it was 2 halves of avocado with huge scoops of tuna! And garnishes. We took half of each for our lunch the next day.
We will definitely be back!

Go to Billy Reeds for Monday nite dinner if you want good prime rib.
Delicious cut of meat served with string beans and choice of potato. I had the sweet potato. Also either salad or soup, both choices are great. And, types of bread to choose from. Try the date nut bread. All for $26.00 instead of the usual $32.00.
Victorian atmosphere and koi fish pond.

Great food, great service. We live just outside Yucca Valley so getting good steak or seafood is impossible in the area.
BR’s hit the spot!!
Billy Reed’s decor is late 1800’s to early 1900’s with a little 21st-century mixed in.

Everything was huge. Huge space, huge menu, huge portions. Overall the food was good and the staff was great. Prices were definitely up there, but if you’re hungry and have a good appetite, you’ll get tour money’s worth.

Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Atmosphere is "old school" fantastic and the food is all fantastic! Free large parking lot and the wait staff is so friendly and professional. Wish this restaurant was near where we lived! We had shrimp cocktail as appetizer and they served SEVEN big shrimp in cocktail sauce for a most reasonable price, instead of the usual four for much more money. I had a small piece os prime rib which was huge and tasty! Wife had their prime rib sandwich and Brough half back to our rented condo. Thomas, our server was most attentive and a five star waiter, as was Caesar our Assistant waiter. Their homemade pies were beyond awesome too! We saw the two kids in booth next to us order chocolate fudge sundaes which looked immense and wonderful. I had to think long and hard to find any negative at this restaurant but I did think their garlic bread was a bit too soft and soggy. But then I prefer mine crispy and crunchy. Wife loved her banana bread! Highly recommend this restaurant!

I ordered the bbq rib special and they weren’t. The ribs were nice and tender but there was minimal bbq sauce and the meat tasted like it was an old pig, kind of harsh. Not worth waiting to get a table or the price. I wouldn’t return.

We enjoyed a birthday celebration meal at Billy Reeds. I had “Billy’s Steak” which was amazing! It was served with garlic toast and salad prior to the entree. Everything was excellent as we took an incredible piece of triple chocolate cake home !

This is such an old fashion restaurant. The menu is a classic. Dinners come with bread and salad or soup. Five different choices of bread, Corn bread, Bananna Bread, Garlic you get the idea. Very reasonable with the prices for Palm Springs. Just go and try you won't be dissappointed. Enjoy!
