After a very long 45 minute wait , we could have eaten rocks and they would have been tasty, but still Elmer’s was pretty good.
The service was great - very friendly and efficient and the food came fairly quick after ordering. The German pancake was the best part of breakfast, while the rest of food , the eggs, bread etc were average. The orange juice did NOT taste like it was fresh squeezed. The place was very crowded and the table was way too small for two people with all the food on it.
Overall, I’m glad we went, but there are better breakfast joins in the area that I would go to.

Met up with some longtime friends for a reunion breakfast. We had a great time. Our server, Sherrie, brought our meals just as we requested them. We told her my husband and I were going to split a single meal. She brought our portions on individual plates PLUS even cut the pieces of bacon in half so we had exactly half portions. She was very attentive the three hours we were there chatting. Food was delicious (especially the potato pancake breakfast). We were treated to visits through the window of two roadrunners! Fun times.

My husband loves their German pancake and I love the avocado Benedict. The food is always well-prepared and promptly delivered and it's fun to look at all of the old Hollywood photos on the walls.
Our server, Elaine was a dynamo and we were impressed someone so tiny was hoisting big trays of food. If I recall correctly, she's been a server for over 50 years and said she's never done anything else. We were impressed with her energy and charm.

Opens early 0700 am and is ready to serve great breakfast options .I had the potatoes that are hash browns and mixed with other ingredients and fried up like a patty ,delicious with perfect bacon and eggs , My wife had the German pancake with strawberry filling as did one of our guests .It was unique and tasty but suggest if you order the combo eat the pancake first as the pancake gets soggy as it sits. The skillet selection our other guest had was also said to be very good and served with a biscuit .We arrived at 0800 and were seated soon after not so lucky for the 0900 folks who were lined up out the door ,so speaks to its popularity for families

Elmer's in Palm Springs has fabulous food for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner, The service is very warm and friendly, fast and efficient. Our waitress made numerous stops to our table to be assured we had everything we need . I love the variety of food offered on their menu, and it is all delicious! I will come back again and again to this wonderful restaurant.

Good but needs improvement
Many wonderful family friendly dishes
Cobb Salad, Flat Iron Steak, and Breakfast delights.
No fried chicken and the worst in coffee with no standard for desserts. Basically any restaurant that does not serve you're traditional fried chicken dinner is not a restaurant.
Their is No German Pancake worth $14 when their is about .50 in batter.
But it seems that all the places in the Desert have Waffles and Pancakes that are about 5 times over priced.
Taste test using Denny's Coffee to Elmer's Coffee their is no comparison. Denny's Coffee is a winner you'd think Elmer's would take a hint?

Went here today for breakfast (Friday morning) and it was pumping by the time we left the place was full.
I had one of the omelettes which was one of the best I have had, came with biscuit, potatoes and a little fresh fruit.
Our waiter (didn’t catch his name) was amazing, speedy service and kept the coffee flowing.
If I had longer in Palm Springs I would go back to try those pancakes!!!

Service was excellent. We arrived late morning near 11 AM parking was tough to find. We had about a 30-minute wait but the reviews were very good, so we waited. They give you a pager to let you know when ready. The food was good but not amazing. We were both interested in the crab and the waiter said I hope they told you we don't have crab right now it has gotten too pricey. I had the salmon which was recommended by my waiter. It was excellent. The sides were just ok. I had a salad and daily veggies. My lady had a burger. It was good but not killer good. Maybe our expectations were too high. Fries were good and service excellent.

A perfect place for breakfast. This is a very well run restaurant with fresh food, carefully and efficiently prepared. More food than I can eat and all delicious. Had a vegetable omelette that was very tender— it came with fluffy pancakes! A special shout-out to Elaine who is an amazing waitress deserving recognition, and to Elmers for employing such great people!

I recently dined at Elmers while visiting family. Vegan plates were not listed in the menu but with a little creativity and willingness to satisfy, the server and cook staff came up with a delicious veggie skillet with a chopped up veggie patty and avocado.
When the plate arrived, everyone at the table commented on how beautiful the dish was. Not only was it visually appealing, it was delicious.
It can be difficult to find plant based food on a typical diner menu and I often end up with dry avocado toast. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and nutritious this was.

While Elmer's is not in the center of Palm Springs it has a very strong and popular following. This is a comfort food restaurant. Great hearty breakfasts and brunches. Though we stopped for lunch they are also hearty and of a large size.
Service was good despite there being no available seating when we walked in. Our wait was not long, perhaps 6-7 minutes.
A must visit when again we are in the desert.

This place was so good, we went back 2 days in a row!
First day the 4 of us had Bloody Mary's eyes with breakfast of Crab Omelet, Country breakfast and Eggs Benedict...second morning were Mimosas with Crab Salad, Crab Benedict, and the most wonderful fully loaded hash browns. OMG they were so good! This is a mustdtop for good food!

We go to Elmers on our visits to the desert for breakfast. The servers are top notch and on the ball.
The menu has some great items on it, but i just get an egg white omelet (14) and coffee(3.89) , and my partner chooses the french toast (9) and coffee. Both items are made to order quickly and are ample portions
They do have some specialty breakfast selections and of course they are open for breakfast, Lunch and dinner
6am-9pm. Call out to our server this time Sherrie who was working most of the tables. Fast and friendly. Also you can get a meal with a view.

I ordered a delicious Crabacado omelette, which came with bacon, avocado and crab, and ended up being more than i could eat. Waiter was personable and efficient. Fun photographs of old movie stars on the walls. Recommended.

Took my husband here, and really enjoyed the food. He had the potato pancake meal and fresh squeezed orange juice while I devoured the German pancake meal. Good service. Returned for a second dinner, cobb salad and clam chowder. Best chowder.
