Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went to Ricks because we had walked by it a couple of times on our daily walks. Always saw many people going in and out of there and thought we should try it. We went for their happy hour and the drinks were made very well. The bar wasn't too busy when we arrived around 5 pm but by 6 pm it was packed with people waiting for seating. We decided to sit at a regular table for dinner and our server being very, very busy took care of us very well. The food was an A+ and having a very picky husband, he had the pork sliders and said they were the best he's ever had. I had the chicken quesadillas and they were outstanding (they also reheated well) . Make sure you stop there if in Palm Springs.

We met with a group that meets regularly at Rick's Desert Grill for breakfast. The parking lot is a bit hard to get into but once there the food is fresh and the coffee tasty. I had an eggs Benedict of which they have many variations. My wife had a heavy steak and eggs breakfast special. It was a very ample meal and she enjoyed it. The restaurant had no problems make sure her meal was gluten free and dairy free. We will come again.

I came here for a business meeting.
The beef slider I had was delicious. Juicy. Properly cooked and served hot.
The waiter was attentive without being intrusive. He followed instructions to the letter.
My companion came for a Chicano sandwich he was told to come here for. Sadly it was not available
The sweet potato fries were very tasty. They also came hot to the table
Though good I have only rated them as a 4/5 because I am aware of other similar genre places in PALM SPRINGS that do excel betting simply good. That said I have no problem recommending you eat here

We were greeted and felt very welcomed when we walked through the door. We didn't go Cuban, we went with the Ruben, which was Fantastic.
Every staff member we encountered seened genuinely friendly and hospitable. We were on a time crunch for our lunch break and we were served fresh food within a timely manner. We look forward to going back and trying the Cuban Cuisine.

I just moved here a week ago and ordered my dinner to go. I was advised to give the cold cucumber soup a try and Wow! It was so good. I like salmon and got it grilled with white rice and vegetables. Even the side of cooked veg was great. I topped off dinner with a Key Lime Pie that melted in my mouth, I am so pleased with my meal and so very glad I called in. The dining looked cozy and will order in next visit.

I went here with 3 friends for lunch after we had just visited Joshua Tree National Park. We were immediately seated and the server was right at our table. We skipped appetizers and went straight to our entrees. I had the media noche, which was very good. I know one other person in our party had a burger with fries that he seemed to enjoy. Another person had the chicken sandwich, which he ate every bite of. All of the food was fine, but the service was amazing. The server was so sweet and funny and made us feel very welcome. This is a diner type place that is good for people of all ages.

Wow! We stopped here on a whim after arriving into town a bit late. We are glad we did. The food is amazing. The pork is don to perfection. The black beans are fantastic and I don’t even like black beans. Plantains and crispy potato wedges garnished our plates and were perfect. This is a great place. Be sure to stop in!

The cafe ambiance is very inviting. The staff are friendly and efficient.
The Sunday AM breakfast coffee and refills came often. The coffee was good with acid aftertaste. The large mug size serving was very much appreciated.
I had the salami and eggs daily special. Portion size was large, so the value for the price was good. The menu has a large range of meal options.
Though there are better cafe meal values to be found in the cities of the valley Rick’s is OK and is easy to recommend.
The only caveat is the ambient background noise level is quite high and distracts from the total dining experience.
Those who wear hearing aids should consider this if you go there.

If you're not fond of garlic, skip this place! There were very few choices for those who can't eat garlic, but they were very kind to find some unseasoned hamburger and to make sliders for us...sans garlic. Our drinks were delicious, so kudos to the bartender...and they have some really interesting mojitos. We went in the late afternoon and it was very uncrowded. We were just disappointed, as we really wanted to like this place and would have, had it not been for the lack of choices for us.

Broad menu. During a brief two night Palm Springs visit, we tried a slow-cooked pork dinner from Rick's the first night and enjoyed it so much we returned the next night for cuban chicken and cuban beef-based dinners. Both also were slow-cooked and were moist, soft and tasty. Both meals were takeout. Pricing was fair and the quality for the cost was high. Also, friendly service.

This restaurant deserves high marks! The staff are friendly and efficient. The menu is vast, but we decided upon two of their specialty dishes, the picadillo stuffed tostones and the Cuban lechon asado. We were not disappointed! Our food was served piping hot and was very flavorful. The fried plantains are wonderful. Thank you, Rick's Desert Grill, for a great meal. We cannot wait to come back for breakfast.

This was a great experience. What a variety. If you want traditional Breakfast/lunch fare, they do it well. They have some unique Cuban dishes, burritos, and one of the biggest chewiest cinnamon rolls I've ever seen! If I hadn't received a coupon at Inn at Palm Springs I wouldn't have known or considered this place. I'm writing this review so others don't overlook it as well!

I love this throwback diner style restaurant. It is comfort food with a Cuban influence. It is very popular with the locals. Everybody seems to know one another. It reminds me of going out to eat as a child where they brought out finger bowls to help keep you clean with the baby back ribs. The service was friendly and attentive. They always made sure everything was just right. There is a full service bar. Our lemon drop martinis were a little tart and could have used more simple syrup. I had a basic meal of fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy and steamed vegetables. Very basic stuff. All restaurant prices have escalated dramatically in Palm Springs in the past two years. These prices are at the lower end of that spectrum.

We stayed in the Days inn. We had breakfast in Ricks on site. but it closed early for lunch about 2 pm I think it was. The main restaurant is a block away and we had food in there as well very good but just to much to eat. The staff were very attentive if I ever went back to Palm Springs I would go and eat there again. Not to expensive.

As with all the other reviews, deviled eggs arrived as a tasty little gift. The generous entrees that followed were also tasty and well presented. Fried chicken was moist & the Havana chicken was flavorful and not too spicy. The sides were very good. Service was professional and genuine. All in all, a good spot!
