For years we have dined at Chez Pierre. The restaurant is not fancy, but cozy and very French. The food sublime. Pierre is a treasure and his friendly wife has worked along side him for years and years. Every single meal has been beyond excellent--including the frites. When there this last time (dinner twice within a week) Pierre kindly came... More

Our friend had been to Chez Pierre at their previous location, so knew the food was good. We made a reservation, but were the first even clients in the restaurant. The service was beyond excellent, the food was incredible and to top it off the Chef came around and greeted us. This is definitely a Neighborhood Gem and a great... More

It is rare these days to find a bistro restaurant serving classic French dishes. Chez Pierre is a real find. We enjoyed excellent foie gras and tarte aux oignons, fresh grilled sardines and classic rognons de veaux in sauce moutarde. So many favorites on the menu to keep us coming back. Service is warm and friendly in a lovely French... More

As a European I find even some of the really good restaurants a little pedestrian in menu choices. This place is absolutely great, and given the really different menu it is obvious that there are many more adventurous diners than one would imagine. There are a number of specials offered, which I'm sure change regularly. However, for me the menu... More

We found this place to have a very "French" feeling in the atmosphere & menu... (minus the smoking) there's no smoking here. A busy owner, meticulously looks over the food as its served in an elegant fashion. Fancy goose liver pâté' is on the table for your bread , and exotic dishes like Halibut cheeks as a main . One... The success of Chez Pierre has allowed Chef Pierre to move his restaurant to a nicer and larger location at Portola and Hwy 111. Now the ambience can more closing match his excellent food. As a repeat customer I can vouch for his personal touch and his consistent quality. Not pretentious but a taste of France! Still highly recommended!!!

I eat here because they have some menu items that are not served in most restaurants. The food is good, sometimes better and sometimes bad. They do have good vegetables and bread.

From start to finish a great evening. Walked in the door and was greeted by Pierre with a big hug. A nice crowd for a Tuesday night. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. They serve a delicious pate with great bread.I could have eaten that all evening. Our entrees were great. I had the duck and my husband the orange... More

Just had another wonderful dinning experience at Chez Pierre in Palm Desert. With so many great restaurants in Palm Desert, this is among my favorites due to its wonderfully diverse menu offerings. Took long-time foodie friends for their first visit, which was whole heartedly embraced by both as being well worth numerous revisits. I'm always trying to pull myself away... More

We love this place. Pierre is a great Chef and very friendly, he comes to your table and greets you. The food is amazing and they have my favorite dessert "Floating Island" need I say more! The staff is very friendly, if you like French food, this is the place.
