Lovely lunch. Not too much for vegetarians or the gluten free, but fine. It's a noisy, crowded space and while the food is several notches above many places, there are also plenty of not-as-hyped just-as-delicious places in the East Bay.

This is the spot you want to go to for a date night or lunch with friends. There is always a great selection of menu items and their salads are to-die-for. Such great flavor paired with a nice wine selection, how could you go wrong?!...More

The pork chops and duck were outstanding (some of the best we've had). Service was very good, as well. We've eaten here a number of times and always feel welcomed. The servers are great at explaining the menu items and helping you find just the...More

Small, focused menu with something for your every mood and they knock each item out of the park. Trust me, it's hard to do what they do at Wood Tavern — unfussy food that feels inherently comfy but is also way better than you (or...More

Really enjoyed the food! Outstanding really. But it is loud so while the food is delicious, it is really loud. We shared the arugula roasted beet salad. I had the pork tenderloin.

We went on a Monday night and the restaurant was packed. The noise level is so high that I had a hard time talking to the person sitting next to me. By the end of the evening I was exhausted. This is what I had...More

If they're a casual couple this is a good choice. $150 will suffice and would include wine for two.
