We visited once a couple of years ago. While the food was fine the restaurant was too dimly lit and broken up into many small alcoves. It could have been made into a fully mysterious experience like the dining in the dark experience we once had in san Francisco.

What can I say. Everything was great, and I think we tried just about everything on the menu. Most of the dishes are "tapas" meaning smaller in size and meant to share. Try everything on the menu. The drinks are to die for as well. Really good sangria. One work of caution, most of the food is pretty spicy. If... More

Great atmosphere, delicious drinks, and good variety on the menu. Amazing mussels in a spicy sauce. Great service and great bartenders.

Little sister to the popular A Cote, this restaurant has the same charm, quality, and philosophy. The Latin American combination is so delicious and...sexy! I absolutely adore this restaurant! I tell the server that I have Celiacs disease, and ask for whatever is fresh and delicious, and the chef really comes through! The chili relleno and corn cobs stick out... More

We had eaten at Rumbo al Sur shortly after it opened and had vowed to come back. Although it took us several years, I'm glad we did! Although we had no reservation on a rainy Sunday night, we were seated immediately at a nice window table in the room to the left of the entrance. It wasn't that they weren't... More

Although I like the tapas here.( I think the quality of the ingredients are really good) The margaritas are too small and it is just too dark inside. Maybe if there was a bigger candle on the table. you shouldn't have to take a flashlight out to read the menu.. Also.. thing the service is slow. I ordered the chips... More

A group of 11 had dinner at Rumbo al Sur last night to celebrate a birthday. We arrived just a few minutes ahead of our reservation time. We received a warm welcome from a greeter and found our way to the bar for a round of drinks while we waited for the rest of our party. The drink list was... More

My friend and I were in the mood of Spanish food and Rumbo fit the bill. The place was very busy and the decor was delightful. We ordered two dishes and shared them. The food was good but not great and not as good as the ambiance. Service was great.

Decided to try Rumbo after our first choice (Marzano) was closed. The menu was Anglo-Latin American with maybe more Anglo than Latin. Limited choice plus chips/tostaditos were extra at $8 which was a rip. Food was OK - I had the Chicken Enchiladas in Mole Amarillo and spouse had the Crispy Tacos with Pork - nothing special. Service and ambience... More
