We stumbled upon this place walking around. We definitely not disappointed the food and the service was amazing! The complimentary fruit and soup bar was great, they allowed our 2 year old to just eat from there.

My family was there on a very busy Sunday...Fathers Day! There was a long line outside but we thought we'd take a chance anyway & the wait was only 15mins. Place was packed so we expected slow service. Our server was Delia & she was so great! We all had a different dish, my husband loved his carne asada plate... More

We wanted a quick "little something" to hold us over till dinner since we hadn't eaten anything all day and it was already 2 pm. The chips and salsa are absolutely fantastic!!! We decided to share a cheese quesadilla, beef taco and chicken flautas. Everything was very good. The guacamole to me was ok, but I am very picky about... More

Went here late Sunday night for Mexican. One of the few places open till 10pm on Sunday. The spot looked amazing on the inside I loved the traditional Mexican look. The salsa was great and looked fresh and home made. I ordered the chile relleno and it was amazing! I would recommend this to any of my friends going to... More

We visited this restaurant for a dinner on mid week night. The restaurant was busy. I sampled their bowl of chicken soup. The soup was outstanding with fresh ingredients and large chunk of chicken. We also sampled their combination dinners of Taco, Chile Rileano with beans, rice and mixed vegetables. All dishes used fresh ingredients and tested well. The service... More

Avila's used to be a church, back in the day. The windows are beautiful, toy can still yell where the alter was, and the rectory had been concerted to a more private seating area, possibly for private parties. The service was good and we were seated immediately. My husband ordered the chicken fajitas and I had the tequila shrimp. They... More

It was our first time dining there, we knew they had good food and service from friends. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of their mole, I'm very picky about Mexican food -specially mole. But today after ordering the mole enchiladas with just cheese in them I am a fan of theirs and can't wait to return! My family... More

The food is always good at any of the Avila's restaurants. It's not a fancy place but it certainly is festive. The chicken soup is a favorite and the mango margarita is tops. Try the restraunt in Laguna Beach and take a walk after the meal. It will not disappoint. The place is great if you have a big group... More
