The salads at Rubios are better than most places. The fish tacos are good. Have never had bad service here.

We had lunch and I ordered the surf and turf. The lobster taco was good. The steak was better. (In my opinion) my wife's chicken taco looked like a dollar taco plus the shell was hard, but the manager with no complaining brought out her a new one. Just wish the restaurant would add more chicken to make it worth... More

The food was good. Blackened Mahi Mahi tacos plate and steak street tacos. They seemed understaffed since we were there for a late lunch and it appeared there remained quite a bit of cleaning to do. This location was middle of the road compared to better and worse Rubio's in the area.

Therefore we can't comment on their most popular items, but love their salads! Especially the ones with chicken, roasted corn, and avocados.

The best fish tacos I've ever had and so crunchy. Tuesdays they are only $1.50 each. You can find Rubio's everywhere lately.

I've been a fan of Rubio's for a long time. I do miss the Mahi-Mahi Burrito they used to serve, but there are other choices that are good there. The food is fresh and made to order. Grilled fish tacos, and burritos are my first choice.

with new owners comes change, some for the better, some not. They have a new logo and some of the menu items have been changed...I think. I miss the street taco's, they were reasonable priced and were actually really good. We ate there last week and got red sauce on our pesky fish taco's, not sure I cared for that... More

Increasing prices and less food equal a no-go for Rubio's. Overall their food is good, but this particular location is the slowest ever. They are constantly giving away free chips and guacamole because their kitchen is unbelievably slow. I've been quite a few times and finally started asking myself why I would I go back?

It has healthier options of Mexican food. Customer service is usually good (although a few times in the past not so much) but the last time was good.

Description
The first restaurant was opened in 1983 in San Diego by Ralph Rubio and his father, Ray, who started the fish taco phenomenon that spread across the nation. Today, Rubio’s menu has grown from The Original Fish Taco® to include additional chef-crafted seafood recipes that feature shrimp, wild salmon and ono. In addition to sustainable seafood, Rubio’s offers chargrilled chicken and steak, fresh made guacamole and salsas and sauces that are prepared daily.
