I have been here several times and it never disappoints. The menu has something for everyone and each dish is very well done. the crab mac and cheese is loaded with fresh dungeness and the specials are inventive. Wine list, of course, local and wonderful. A cozy interior with fireplace, friendly and intelligent service. I dream about it.

We were so surprised by our stay in Murphys, which we previously knew nothing about. Ended up in the town trying to get close to Bear Valley for skiing. We ate at Alchemy twice...interesting menu, tasty, nice staff, and live music on Tuesday. They had local wines on the menu which were fun to try.

My wife and I came for dinner on a Saturday night and barely made it on time. For some reason, a majority of restaurants in Murphys close at 8pm. We got there at 7:40pm and watched as they began to turn away those arriving at 8pm. That being said, the food was delicious. The restaurant dining room is small, but... More

Great food and ambience! Fresh garlic bread with a corn topping was amazing. Ordered the Potato Leek soup which was very good obviously made in house. Entree was Cranberry Glazed Salmon Salad with Glazed pecans and dried cranberries with the house vinegarette - perfectly dressed, great flavor and a full meal with a full 6 on plus filet, simply delicious.... This was my second visit to Alchemy. The first experience was good but I was unimpressed with the selection of beers that were offered. The chef/owner, Jason wrote a response letting me know they have a massive selection and that I should ask for him next time I'm in. The server told me they have an incredible list of beers,... We've been here several times and always have a great meal. The fresh corn bread is an amazing treat. The staff is always friendly and service is great. Outdoor seating during the summer months are a nice treat.

We chose Alchemy Cafe for the location of our son's wedding rehearsal dinner and couldn't have been more pleased with the results. The owner/Chef Jason was extremely easy and flexible to work with, the food was delicious and the service excellent. We enjoyed the private patio room for our group, and although it was a cool evening, the heaters were... More

Just returned from Murphys and from attending a wedding rehearsal dinner at Alchemy. Staff did an excellent job and I would highly recommend this restaurant. Try either their Salmon or their bacon-wrapped meatloaf. Both were wonderful!

Had a nice meal but this establishment is busy so get a reservation! Had to sit at the bar but that was okay. Ordered the salmon and the meatloaf dishes...both with very good. They have excellent wines and most interesting in the beers they have on tap. Order a Belgium raspberry beer. It was delicious!

We had salmon and chicken entrees. Both were less than 20 dollars There were no wines available from outside the area which is unfortunate since both the Pinot Grigio and sauvenon Blanca were bad. Very friendly and capable staff. Except for the wine, good value
