A little bit of a wait, but our own fault for not making a reservation. Great service and nice selection of starters and entrees on the menu. We'll be back.

Nice design and menu selection. We had drinks at the bar before dinner, cocktails were very good and strong. The food was good, although not as good as I expected it to be from such a classy restaurant. Service was OK. Easy free parking just behind the restaurant. A good choice for a business lunch or a romantic dinner.

Scratch has become one of our go-to restaurants on the Peninsula. Why? The food is delicious. The menu varies but just enough to keep it fresh and new. The service is dependable, the location convenient and the vibe is upbeat without being too loud. We split a field greens salad (with goat cheese... yum). My wife had the lobster pot... More

Busy place, loud atmosphere. Nice menu, but steak I ordered was just average at best. Drinks were good, nice. Iurbon selection.

Came here for happy hour a few times with colleagues on a weekday afternoon. Parking is fairly easy on the street and in the lots behind the restaurants. They have a decent happy hour menu with snacks and small plates in addition to the drinks. Downside is there is no space for true happy hour. We had to squeeze four... More

Whenever I have to choose between Cascal and this place, I automatically walk toward Cascal. But when it comes to just drinking and having a desert I walk to this place. I was not very lucky with the food options here; mostly overpriced and not very tasty.

This restaurant is super convenient to get to in the center of Mountain View. The decor is trendy with a cool curved bar at the front. The service is excellent. The wine list is expansive with an incredible number of cabernets especially. My guests tried the "Simple Fish" (bass), Scallops and Rotisserie Chicken. Everyone loved their entrees. I had the... This is my second Brunch visit to Scratch. It was festively decorated for the holidays - the multi colored balls over the bar/entry area were fun and had an uplifting feel. I enjoyed the wonderfu Cobb salad, while my friend had the vegetarian roasted vegetable egg dish. The coffee tasted wonderful and my cup was refilled quickly. I highly recommend... More

Our family of 3 came here for Christmas dinner. The menu was prix fixed but we could order the main course a la carte. It's famed oyster bar is also available to order a la carte. It also offered a children menu for the night, a nice & appreciative touch. We had 1/2 dozen oysters (great!), liver mouse (great), turkey... More

Dinner last evening at Mountain View’s trendy restaurant, Scratch, was a mix between pain and pleasure. Overall, we had a great time, but there were pitfalls along the way that could have derailed the proverbial train into a chasm for less understanding diners. The first issue rose its ugly head before we had even sat down, because nobody had a... More
