We stopped here for dinner. We saw the restaurant while driving through Cannery Row. Parking is always a problem but we arrived early and used the public parking lot just above The Sardine factory. We did not have reservations but were seated quickly. ORLANDO, our...More

This is an old classic place, and retains the best of classic elegance in food, wine, service, and decor. Easily my favorite night out in Monterey every year. See if you can visit the wine cellar when you go.

Great Restaurant! Had their Salmon and it was excellent! Service was really great. We even had the Sommelier pick out our wine to match what we ordered. Service was very responsive. Highly recommend!

Valet parking is a plus in the cannery row area. This is a nice old school elegant decor restaurant. It's very pricey but the food is very good. The rolls that come with dinner are supurb. My wife had the halibut special which must have...More

This restaurant was recommended to us as the top restaurant of Monterey. It is certainly impressive because of the interior decoration: classic, stylish, slightly kitch but not to a point that it gets annoying. The disappointment was the food. We had oysters (so called from...More

This was our special meal of the holiday. Made to feel very welcome and all the staff friendly and helpful. Loved the decor and ambience. A crab cake starter tasty, but adored the sand dabs with Swiss chard main, truly delicious. A wonderful touch was...More

Just no!! Average prawn cocktail starter which was warmer than the main course!! An awful Prime Rib main that was much colder than the prawn starter!!! I rest my case! Couldn’t be bothered to complain as they obviously think they are better than they really...More

Allow plenty of time as service was very slow when we were there. Little on the menu for vegetarians, but then this is a seafood restaurant. Cream sauce seemed very heavy—although chocolate cake dessert was light and moist. Staff very professional and executive chef stopped...More

We live in this area. Sad to say California has gone way casual in the last ten years. I would avoid the standard tech uniform of blue jeans and t shirt. Have the boys wear slacks and regular shirt and you will not feel out... More
