The House Pisco is delicious. The variety and taste of food is unique and great for special occasions as prices are close to fine dining prices. This is the place to bring a date you want to impress. Great customer service and table side visit by the chef.

So this is where we dined on her birthday. The food and service were stellar, the view was spectacular. The high rating was earned through their dedication to excellent cuisine.

There were four of us in our party and we all loved the dishes we ordered. Portions were a good size, and, the setting, looking out over the ocean at sunset could not have been better. I'm not giving it five stars as the service was slow, although I'm not sure whether it was because of our waiter or other... More

Food was great, then.....Upon receiving the bill, totaling over $250, I found that EACH Soda Water from the gun, in a stinkin Shirley Temple glass, chock full o' ice was $3. Major Fail! This is more expensive than a bottle of Crystal Geysers. My mistake for not asking if I was going to be gouged. I guess I'm lucky there... More

The service is impeccable, everyone of the waitstaff from our waitress, to busboy to floorwalker is at the top of their game. On the advice of our very helpful waitress we chose to have five small plates. Two of shrimp on sweet potato (3 shrimp per plate), one scallop plate (2 large scallops only) braised mussels which were tiny and... More

This restaurant is located about 3 miles from Half Moon Bay and has a reputation as one of the best S American restaurants in the area. Unfortunately, since we were ordering as a group, not much of the menu was to my taste and the quantities - as usual - were grotesquely huge compared to the number of people. Perhaps... More

I went to La Costanera two nights running. On both occasions the weather was against us so I didn't get to sample the views over the ocean. The first visit was a large corporate event and I was really impressed by how they looked after and fed 150 people. The canapes were excellent and the subsequent meal was first rate,... More

I have been here twice now, both times with groups of four, so have tasted a wide range of the offerings. Everything has been wonderful. This evening I had the swordfish with roasted vegetables and it was excellent. Ask for a table as close to the window as possible and try to arrive before sunset. The views of the waves... More

A welcome restaurant in an area that has a dearth of good reasonably priced offerings. We ate poke with delicious raw fish and had a lovely evening with attentive service. Sadly the weather wasn't good but there is a terrace to sit out on in good weather and watch the sun go down over the Pacific

We loved our night out at La Costanera. We've lived coast side for awhile now but had yet to have dinner here - wow, what a treat! First the building and location are amazing second the food is unique and outstanding. We will definitely be going here again. I definitely recommend going early and/or making a reservation.
