Beer, burgers, peanut shells on the floor, pool table, outside patio for smokers. This place is a long-time favorite hangout for West Menlo and Atherton residents. A good place to go with the team after the soccer game or if you want to hang out with friends watching sports on TV. The hanging out with friends is the attraction more... More

This place is famous and has an old school authentic vibe. Im no big fan of the pub food style but the college kids dont seem to care. This is a stanford u watering hole.

Nice place to drink a beer with the friends. A little over priced but its ok. I like the rustic decoration.

A great place to meet friends for a beer inside or outside. Decent dive bar food and great billiards table. Worth a visit as the bar stays open late and they have a wide variety of beers, wine, and mixed drinks.

Nice redecoration of the facilities. Menu has expanded greatly from burgers and brews. While some of the old favorites are still there plenty of new tasty items chicken teriyaki, avocado burger and French fries are now on the menu in addition to fresh chips.

Every time we drive by, this place seems to be very busy, so we decided to give it a try, merely to have a "terrific" hamburger or cheeseburger for lunch. The place has been open since 1966. Parking is VERY limited. Instead of being seated at a table, with orders taken by a server, one stands in line and orders... More

My family has been going to the "Goose" as us locals call it for many years. We live right down the road from it and I often walk by it on my evening walks and smell the nice aroma from the cooking food. They have good burgers and fries there, we have had other stuff there that was good, but... More

My husband raved about this place, before the remodel, it was his first time back since then and my first time ever. He said the burgers were great, we went on a Saturday afternoon, and there were two parties going on, one near the pool table room and the other in the back, there were also football games on, I... Have gone to this establishment many times in the past decade. Was there over Christmas holidays and was a little disappointed. Love the amazing choices of craft beers on tap! Service is slow as usual and to be expected. Great TV's for watching Monday Night Football and other sports. Same slightly messy but comfortable environment. Newer outside environment as well... Have been going to the Goose every few weeks for almost 30 years! The long overdue, albeit forced, remodel is a welcome change, but we very much miss the bar stools facing the grill where we could watch the game on the tv. The burgers have always been great, and the expanded menu is nice. The service, however, is sub-par.... More
