A fastfood place in the heart of Menlo Park! Cannot fault the food for being fresh and tasty/good. We expected something else, but boy oh boy, forget the ambience and you are in for a treat! Wine cheap, food good - hot and tasty! what more can you ask for?

I was in the mood for seafood. I ordered the local halibut and it was dry and terrible. Fries were not to my liking. Just bad. You order the food and they bring it to you. Not impressed and will not be back.

Had the halibut. Tasty but slightly overcooked. Good roll! Ok Cole slaw. I'd eat there again. The person who took my order was sweet. When I asked her which she preferred, the cod or the halibut she said the prawns. This made me giggle.

Passing by and hungry led us to stop and try Cook's Seafood. It was fresh, hot, and tasty. I found the menu to be difficult to wrap my brain around... it was posted on the wall and with all the sounds and crowds, it was a bit overwhelming, but we enjoyed every bite of our food and would certainly go... Cooks has the best fast food fried seafood in the bay area. Fish and chips are to die for. Food is always hot and fresh and never over cooked. Nice staff too!

Real simple, stand in line, order your fish and then sit in the sparse dining room on what seem like lawn chairs. They took over the Arby's next door, but never have finished the idea. The fish is excellant, the fish and chips are the best in the bay area.

I'm not used to the higher than normal prices of meals in California. The food was good, but not anywhere near worth the price of $35 for a fish sandwich, two pieces of Cod with fries and a bowl of soup. There is also a fresh seafood market attached to the restuarant and prices there seemed to be high, also.

Cook,s seafood a fish market and has a casual restaurant. The cod and chips are very good. You can subsitute Jasmin rise for the chips. The clam chowder in a bread bowl is my choice on cold days.I also enjoy the prawns, clams, and the halibut. The fish shop has a large variety of fresh fish and shellfish, including dungenious... A California institution. Have been coming here for years. I absolutely love the Alaskan halibut, always fresh and expertly prepared. Another favorite is Icelandic cod. Wide cut French fries and/or coleslaw are the sides. Moderately priced offerings. I usually get wine. On an Alaskan cruise, we had Alaskan halibut for only one night--so it is a bargain at Cook's!

Found this restaurant on TripAdvisor and did not regret. Very tasty shrimps, prawns and cod - both in salad and with chips.
