This shop had local antiques, souvenirs and art work that are reasonably priced for a California coastal town.

This is an interesting place and a good place for lunch. Sandwiches are good and bigger than average. We had Roast beef and Turkey sandwiches - both excellent. We knew this was a good place to eat when it was clear that local people ate there regularly enough that the owner and customers called to each other by name. Also... More

Very small café, but what they serve is the best. Especially the soups, which are homemade daily, with a different soup every day. Don't miss this place for lunch in Mendocino

We decided to make a quick trip to the Northern California coast and take advantage of the three day weekend. We were headed to the state parks and stopped for lunch at a small restaurant called A Cultured Affair. We ordered the Curried Chicken Salad and the Roast Beef sandwiches. The portions were so large that neither of us could... More

We ate lunch here on the recommendation of our Airbnb host. I had a turkey sandwich which was huge! I could only eat half. Choices of bread were sour dough and wheat. My husband had pasta which he liked as well. You order up at the counter, and I think we were the only tourists in the place. All others... More

Around lunchtime my wife and I were hungry so we decided to stop at A Cultured Affair. My wife had the soup of the day and I had the tuna on wheat sandwich. My wife's minestrone soup was probably the best minestrone soup I have ever tasted. It was made from scratch and loaded with vegetables and sausage. My tuna... More

We had a wonderful lunch at their outdoor cafe. We had our Siberian husky with us. It was sunny and warm. I had the burger with gargunzola cheese and bacon to die for. My husband had the fish tacos and said he enjoyed those. We have eaten here before and will be back again one of our favorite restaurants.

Best Salad Bar in town, good soups, and frozen yogurt. The curry chicken sandwich is my favorite but the tuna is also awesome. Art and Laura have been running this place for years, and changed very little over time. Another popular spot for locals, but rarely crowded due to its location off the main path. Good food at a good... More

I had kept hearing about A Cultured Affair while I was visiting Mendocino for three days and was told repeatedly by locals that this place makes sandwiches to order. I'm vegan and found this to be a most welcome invitation and exciting reason to go there for lunch. What a huge disappointment! They don't make sandwiches to order at all.... More

Very nice place for a mid day meal. Mom-Pop shop, friendly and welcoming. Big sandwich for the money. Nothing fancy, but very tasty. We had it "to go" so we could go to Headlands State Park and picnic while searching for whales.
