The sushi is excellent. They often have Otoro and Uni. Whenever I get these they are perfectly executed. The rolls are tasty and inventive. There are gluten-free options including the spicy tuna, rainbow crunch roll. Remember to order Gluten free crunch--it doesn't come that way by default. The Korean options present a great addition to sushi or stand on their... More

I used to work in Marina Del Rey, and I was eating in Kaya at least 2/month. They used to have best California Rolls ever! Big in size, very tasty with great presentation. I do not work there anymore, so I was craving just to go there for these rolls. So we came for lunch. First, worst service ever. There... More

Have eaten here at least once per month for last 3 months. The food is excellent. Especially enjoy the different way they prepare: garlic adamame, mozzarella asparagas, calif rolls with real crab, veget spring rolls, teriyaki chicken. Service is friendly, courtious, & reasonable swift. Setting is pleasant & reasonably quiet. Parking is adajacent to facility. We live in another state... More

Kaya has a great menu, however, the food and presentation that used to be so great, went down the tubes. The vegetarian rolls that I always ordered were totally tasteless. The Green Roll that had a slice of tofu with a dip of interesting sauce atop, had no sauce and the tofu tasted like rubber. The spinach inside was just... More

Kaya has ambience, great service, and excellent food and saki! Are you going pay a bit more for this? Yes, but it is a wonderful eating experience. There is a large menu which includes entrees that are not just about the sushi and sashimi, but everything we tried was very good, especially the mushroom volcano which really makes an entrance,... I love hwedupbap/sashimi bibimbap, and finding this outside of Ktown is a bit difficult. I ordered it here and really liked it. My husband ordered some sushi and sashimi which were better than average, but not quite worth the cost for the amount they give you. I would definitely revisit, but will probably stick with the Korean dishes.

I travel to Los Angeles frequently and Kaya Sushi is always my first stop after leaving LAX. Both of their locations are equally good. The variety of inventive rolls is staggering and they have always been excellent. The service is always superb. You better get there early though, as it is very popular and the wait can be extensive. Great... More

Great atmosphere and service, however the menu is almost insurmountable. Way too long. The fusion items were interesting but almost over complicated. However, if that's what you're looking for then this is right up your alley.
