This restaurant used to be my favorite but their menu has changed, much more pasta than grill. Their lamb chops with fresh porcine used to be amazing. This time I had squash pasta, and it was nice but not enough wow factors to merit 5...More

We met with seven of our VERY good friends. We were seated immediately and offered water. Several of us ordered the Meatballs, bruschetta al Pomodoro, , the eggplant appetizer, the flat bread with heirloom tomatoes, pasta with duck and, of course, wine. Our only negative...More

The restaurant is physically beautiful. Dim and romantic and well decorated/designed. If you want ambiance it will not disappoint. Basically everything else disappoints. The food is okay (not great/not bad),it is just served in portions that are way out of line with the price. The...More

For a white table cloth restaurant, I expected better service from here- our waitress didn’t really pay a whole lot of attention to us, and he restaurant wasn’t even busy (it was early evening). The food, which looked great on paper, tasted rubbery and dry....More

Consistently good food. During our recent visit the water brought my wife the wrong main course. Il Fornaio apologized and fixed the problem quickly. Always a consistently good choice to dine.

Description
Step inside Il Fornaio and take a culinary journey through Italy. Early mornings bring rustic, crisp crusted bread hot from the oven accompanied by the scent of fresh brewed espresso. During lunch and dinner hours, pastas and flavorful sauces simmer while meats and vegetables roast over hot coals. Bottles of wine from small, regional wineries are uncorked to complement the dishes, which have been crafted in the custom of Italy's chefs, bakers and homemakers. Il
Fornaio means "the Baker" in Italian. This award-winning restaurant offers an authentic and unique Italian dining experience. Specialties include wood-fired rotisserie and grilled meats, poultry and game; housemade pastas; pizzas from an oak wood burning oven; fresh salads and housemade soups; a wide variety of desserts; and fresh baked bread made daily from scratch. Winner of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence 2007.
