As a local, I hear lots of reviews. Last time I ate here personally was back in the late 80's, when you could get a $15 omelette, and then start adding on $2 each if you want cheese, mushrooms, etc. This place is famous for their stance on ketchup. If you ask for it, you've offended the owners & the... More

We were trying to go to the organic vegan place behind the Sculptured Egg but it was raining and the other place only had outdoor seating. I wish we had chosen the rain over the horrible experience at the Sculptured egg. This place touts it’s been there 40 years and it looks like it. Old, dusty décor, a kitchen that... More

Yes, the owners do things their way, but the food is good and fresh, so I say "get over it", If you want scrambled eggs and fast service, go to Denny's. I have been eating here when visitng friends in Los Osos/Baywood Park for 20+ years. The name has always been "The Sculptured Egg". The quality of the food is... More

No scrambled eggs for you! They told us it would ruin their skillet... amazing. Don't ask, there's no flexibility.

These people have been trying to offer "upscale" food for over a decade, and are failing. Prices high, service slow, food mediocre. In the "never again" category. Attempts at an attached gift shop, new signage and even tableclothes have been inadequate. Try the frequently renamed, and equally spotty "bay cafe" across the street--at least the often-changing staff have some fancy... More

This is a unique family owned specialty restaurant in Morro Bay's "back bay" in the village of Baywood Park. You won't be disappointed with one of their great omelets.

I really don't want to be too critical of these people but it's hard to mess up breakfast...at least I thought it was. The coffee tasted like old dishwater and the overpriced almlet was not that great. That's all I going to say

Didnt try the food. The owner was so rude that I sat down for exactly one minute before giving her a piece of my mind and leaving. I was the only person there at the time. Very odd. But now that Ive looked at the other reviews here... wouldn't you know? There are no less than 3 other places next... More

Just moved back to Los Osos. Husband & I went there one morning, and the waitress/owner was so incredibly rude, I really wanted to just throw the menu in her face! I politely asked if I could have an egg that wasn't poached, she proceeded to say, "We only have poached-they aren't that scary." Really? How rude. I ended up... More

Asked if we could get something for our 18 month old daughter served before the rest of the table and got a rude explaination why that couldn't be done. I had a runny- undercooked omlette and the rest of the food was a C-. If you are looking for a surly, rude and slow waitress and average food then this... More
