The place has the best Indian choke bhature, better than what you can get even in India. The rabri and black gulab jamun is a must have. I would highly recommend this place, just ignore the cleanliness and the ambience.

I've been to India five times (traveling all around eating in both fancy and cheap restaurants), but I think India Sweet House has better food! This family run inexpensive vegetarian hole-in-the-wall is located away from the tourist areas, but well worth it. Not many tables,...More
Great Indian food - casual style - order at the counter. Try the stuffed paranthas and ask for extra ginger. The dhal and khadi are really good. Lots of vegetarian selections.
Freshly cooked vegetarian food , served piping hot , which makes it a MUST EAT place for travelers from India . Had the pav bhaji , mooli ke parathe and yellow dal . The food here derives the authentic taste because it s served fresh...More
Excellent vegetarian Indian food. The parathas are indeed to die for, with the cool yogurt. The cashier and cooks were so sweet and helpful.

Prices are incredibly low, taste is very authentic and service is prompt. Do not expect a restaurant type ambience as it is a sweet shop that serves food as well. Chai, chaat and parathas are to die for. Entrees are good too. 5-6 people can...More
We traveled for almost two hours to reach this place using public transport from Long Beach but it was worth the travel. The best items were the sweets. I liked caramelized milk barfi. It was very difficult to choose the sweets from the large number...More
This is our favorite family/fast-food restaurant. This place is all about the food - don't look for ambiance, service or even bathrooms. It is cafe stye with a few tables for sit down or you can get take-out. Don't expect the "healthy" low-fat trash here,...More
If you want to have AUTHENTIC North Indian parathas then this is the place for you. The best one and most popular is the Gobi (cabbage) Paratha, followed by Mix and last favorite is Aloo (potato). Most of the other stuff is just about ok,...More
