We have been here several times while visiting Hollywood. It's always on our list of things to do when we are in LA. One of my sons got a chicken pizza...he loved it..very large portion even though he only got a small. My husband and I always get Angie's lasagna...delicious. Wonderful bread. Their service is excellent and friendly. Reasonable priced... More

After walking and sightseeing for hours, we happened upon Miceli's. The menu appealed to all in our family group. We all ordered different meals and tried each of 5 dishes. The eggplant and the lasagna were the favorites. While waiting for our meal, we were served marvelous breadsticks and we really enjoyed reading all of the famous signatures on wine... More

The piano player was amazing - she seemed to never take a break. Unfortunately there wasn't much singing. Maybe they only sing a lot on certain days?? The food was good, nothing outstanding, but not bad either. But the service was just not there. The hostess had to come assist so perhaps they were short-handed??? It took a long time... More

Our first night in LA and we didn't want to eat at a chain restaurant. We were so glad to find this place. So much character, history and charm! Also, the food was really delicious. We ordered the pizza and after our waiter dropped it and the manager comp'd it, the second one finally arrived! It was worth the wait!... More

Great food...reasonably priced! Our waiter not only served us, but accompanied the piano player with his beautiful voice. The ambiance and charm only add to the beauty of this restaurant! I ordered the lasagna (so much I could not finish it) and my husband ordered the veal parmigiana; both were delicious and served with warm bread! Fantastic experience.

On a search for Italian food, my friends and I stumbled upon Miceli's and were elated that we did! The atmosphere is definitely old-school Italian, very traditional, extremely cozy and bustling.....with live piano and singing! Patricia, the pianist, and Boyse, the singer and waiter, were stellar performers who made our meal an absolutely amazing experience. I ordered the sausage cacciatore,... More

Great atmosphere, located in a little strip with its signal dimly lightnings hanging right up there. Loves its interior Italian decor, and the accompanied pianist playing lovely tunes throughout the dining session. Generous pasta portions, pizzas are decently good as well. Servers are super attentive on us. Will def be back if chance upon!

Picked this purely on TripAdvisor ratings when looking for an Italian nearby. If you ignore the eccentric people hanging around the streets surrounding it, you've got yourself a nice little restaurant. Service was good, as was the food. Half way through our meal the waiter broke into song to accompany the piano; unexpected and random but an enjoyable experience nonetheless.

Had the carbonara, bland, no pancetta, used bacon instead. Chunks of onion. Very bland. Girlfriend got the spinach lasagna. Red Gravy was tasty. Atmosphere was decent, had piano playing. In and out in less than an hour. Food came almost ridiculously quick. Didn't eat even a quarter of my carbonara, no questions asked abt it, only if I wanted it... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
