I loved their shakes, they are very addictive. The food is great. The atmosphere brings back the memories of the 1950's. I would recommend.

Our family of 5 ate there about a week ago. The burgers and fried chicken were incredibly good. The milk shakes were also great but a little overpriced at over $7. We would recommend this place for sure.

Fries were excellent. Atmosphere and wait staff pure 50's. We were a party of nine and there was no problem moving tables together to accomdate us. Everyone enjoyed their shakes. A fun place to eat after visiting The Hollywood Museum.

Service takes forever. Hash browns are a big piece of burnt carbon. Everything sucks. We waited 20 minutes for 2 glasses of water.

Okay food, the fries are soggy. Was disappointed with that and the grilled cheese was nothing special. It's a nostalgic atmosphere tho. Wasn't very busy, but server was nice. Next time will go to Hard Rock Cafe instead. Suggestion would be to have some chicken...More

Club sandwich was PLENTY big enough to share! Oreo milkshakes were DELICIOUS!!! Convenient location just off Hollywood Boulevard. Nice 50's diner decor

Enjoyed brunch more for the history and atmosphere than the food. Ordered avocado toast with poached eggs. Eggs were over cooked and like warm. But we enjoyed the slice of history!

What a fun vibe this place has. What we imagine is a traditional style American Diner. Great menu with a vast range of food & drinks. Well priced with great service. So good we went back!!

Wow, a real 1950's diner. It was fun, the food was good, the service was friendly. It was really novel being able to choose the music from your own booth. What a great piece of nostalgia.

Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie
stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day,
tourists flock here from around the world to see the
iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to
catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close.
Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas
the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and
hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night

I apologize for a very delayed, and recognizably likely too late answer (I have been to the ER twice in the past 3 weeks). The answer is yes. I hope you had a wonderful visit and found Mel's as delightful as I did.
