We ate here during our trip from Ireland. Great food - the Cuban sandwich was great and the pork unbelievable. The service was awesome - they were the nicest people and really informative. Hope to go back soon!

I was very surprised to find the small Cuban Restaurant in LA that had great food. The pork was very well seasoned, and I had a sandwich that I would have never thought of having, the Cochinito, pork, onions and plantains. It was delicious. My daughter had the pork, beans rice & yuca and it was delicious as well. Will... More

While visiting/vacationing in the Los Angeles, CA, we went searching for a different variety of food for dinner, other than the typical Mexican and Chinese food in our area. Just by chance we found El Cochinito, we were glad we did! This little restaurant is tucked away in a small strip of stores. My husband had the shredded beef stew,... More

Don't be turned off by the fact this place is a little whole in the wall in a strip mall. That's TOTALLY normal for Los Angeles :) I was surprised at how cute the interior was considering the outside...but I really shouldn't be at this point considering I've lived in LA 3 years but still... We were quickly and enthusiastically... More

This used to be one of my favorite places in Silverlake. Apparently there are new owners and they haven't had a positive effect on the food. The service is very friendly and accommodating but I had the worst 1/2 roasted chicken I have ever had. Not only was it not marinated like every other Cuban roast chicken I've had previously,... I picked this place over another cuban restaurant in Atwater and I based this decision on the tone from the woman i spoke to on the phone at the other restaurant. The service here was great, friendly and it seems as though its family owned and operated. I ordered the Palomilla, which is thin cut steak. it is complimented with... More

Eating here is like eating in a Cuban family's home. Authentic and simple food honestly prepared and presented at affordable prices. Friendly service. Parking is a bit of a pain but that's LA.

Was in LA for a 3-day business trip and wanted to try something different. A work acquaintance recommended El Cochinito as a place to try authenitic Cuban food. Since we were staying in downtown LA close to Little Tokyo, it wasn't a lengthy drive here. I suggest driving out on Sunset as opposed to Temple. Much quicker. Parking at about... More

We just had lunch at this restaurant. The food was delicious. Authentic cuban food. Service was great. It's a hole in the wall in a strip mall right at the funky neighborhood of Silver Lake on Sunset Blvd. It was little pricey, compared to what you would pay in Miami, but being in LA it was OK. The menu is... More
