I love the food at Senor Fred. For years I had been eating at Mexi-cali which is nearby, but now I prefer Senor Fred. I think the food is better. I have dined at this restuarnt multiple times, and with various friends/family. The feedback from others has been excellent. I always eat a vegetarian tostada, but my friends/family love the... I stopped here for a late lunch and sat outside. Service was great and the waiter brought me this great salsa that was different team traditional salsas you receive. I ordered a combo dish with Chille Relano and Asada tacoA bit spendy for lunch but everything was served hot, made fresh and non greasy. I tried a glass of their... More

We got to Senor Fred during happy hour on a Friday night and we found the prices to be very good for what you get. We ordered a big platter of mixed appetizers and our waitress was great at accommodating our request to substitute some of the items that contained pork for non-pork items (without an extra fee). We only... More

Senor Fred has these very cool round booths with huge lamps - kids love them. The food is fairly standard mexican however and the love to pile on the sour cream it seems. The guac tends to need some salt and the drinks are fairly average. All of this said, we have not yet found better Mexican food near by... More

This restaurant has a beautiful bar and very nice atmosphere. The food and drinks are very good but way overpriced.

I really like Señor Fred. The decor inside is cool and the service is great. I've had several dishes here but my favorites are: potato flautas, tamales, tortilla soup ( full of veggies) and the churros which are so light and flaky I could eat 3 servings. If you want a romantic dinner ask for 1 of 2 private raised... More

We didn't eat to Spanish music, but the atmosphere here is great. Indoor or patio seating, dim and classy for a mexican style restaurant. It's very popular and the food is great. Highly recommended!

I was taken here by 2 locals on Cinco du Mayo 2011 and the place was jammed packed at only 6pm. We were given the last remaining booth table for dinner and promptly ordered our frozen margaritas which were all fantastic. The only downside was the blended drinks came in plastic cups and not glasses. We ordered 2 entrees to... More

The decor is quite nice but the restaurant itself is dark to the point of distraction. We literally had to use our cell phones to see the menu. The first test of any Mexican restaurant is the guacamole. And unfortunately, they failed. The serving bowl was overflowing with a huge lettuce leaf and mounds of chopped tomatoes. Once you worked... Good sangria, but the elderflower and grapefruit margarita was outta sight! Large portions for dinner, super garlic shrimp and platter with enchilada and two different fish tacos; lots more fish options, as well as classics on the menu. Sidewalk seating can be very noisy when a bus passes, inside is very dark. Reasonable dinner prices, good service.
