Food was good. Flavors very traditional. Had an issue being overcharged for my meal. Not resolved correctly. Just gave up.

Why didn't know about this place before?. Went there for an early dinner (thank god because by 6pm it was mobbed!) Excellent green mole with pork and a fabulous Margarita. Very reasonably priced. Will come back again and again. Loved it.

Neighborhood Mexican restaurant with wide selection of dishes, I particularly like the shrimp dishes. Last year I ate inside, this year it was takeouts. Still good, the takeouts held up well to transport and would be happy to go back again.

A goal of my trip to LA was to sample "authentic" Mexican food and El Nopal did not disappoint. Large selection of dishes, great margaritas with salt and pepper on the rim, friendly service. Shrimp dishes were particularly good.
