I love this restaurant! The owner who must be in his 80s is there working alongside everyone and still finds time to stop by your table to make sure everything is to your liking. The food is absolutely delicious. Simple and fresh and some of the best pasta I have ever had! The place has an old-time traditional feel with... More

This is the best Italian in LA. Old school in the best sense of the word. The service is first rate and the wine list faultless. Not much more you could ask for an absolute classic.

Madeo is a really old-fashioned large dining room with tables and booths that are most comfortable. I had the Bronzino which was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. We all had wine and everyone's dish was also excellent. I finished off with some cappuccino which was also very good. This restaurant is a bit pricey so be prepared. For us it... More

We were staying in Beverly Hills for 4 days and we ate dinner here twice. Both times the food was exceptional. The staff was very friendly and very professional. Homemade pasta, burrata, bolognese all delicious. Very warm atmosphere

This authentic Italian restaurant is run by the same family that started it 33 years ago. While a bit expensive it is fresh, tasty and quality ingredients which always make for a great meal. The leek soup is outstanding, then eggplant appetizer is authentic and the lobster spaghetti is delicious. Across the table my friends had the salted bronzino which... More

Great ambiance, lots of people watching going on. The food was ok. Not spectacular but ok. The down side is as if you are sitting in the basement of a building and I don't like that feeling. Apart than that i had gnocchi unfortunately was quite salty.

We never miss an opportunity to stop at Madeo on our trips to L.A. The pizzas are thin and delicious. The pasta is always tender, it practically melts in your mouth. Wonderful home cooked, traditional food. Try the Penne Madeo. Nothing like it!

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
