In it's heyday this was a gem on the Westside. They lost their liquor license, and then got it back. Tried it again and was very disappointed. The food was bland and lukewarm which is inexcusable because the dining room was 95% empty. Dead on a Saturday night at 7:30pm = a dying restaurant. The ladies room smelled of sewage... More

As a sister restaurant to Nawab in Santa Monica its inconceivable this restaurant is as bad as it is. Dishes were bland with no intensity of flavor. Bharta was dreadful. Chicken Tikka loaded with big globs of dark meat chicken. Topped off by lousy service with few people in the restaurant. Many many reall good Indian restaurants within 5 minutes... More

This was one of my first stops after landing at LAX. Bombay Café WAS great place for wonderful and aromatic South Indian dishes and street food you don't generally find in most US-based Indian restaurants. Sadly, the new management has totally changed the seasoning and flavor of the dishes -- the cuisine is now unrecognizable as Indian food. Most dishes... More

Bombay Cafe is on Pico Blvd, just before the Santa Monica border. Wonderful Northern and Southern Indian food. Great lunches!

I am from India and go to the Bombay Cafe for their street food or Chat as they call it. Try the Sev Puri, Pani Puri, Bhel Puri and Masala Dosa. Delicious and they get the sauce just right. Good, fast, friendly service, simple decor and priced well.

I've been a frequenter of the Bombay Café every few months since 2009 and I don't actually recognize the restaurant as being the one given such bad reviews by many of your contributors. The food may not be the most exciting in the world (for that forget America and go to India, Sri Lanka or west London) but my experience... More

This is the classic American Indain food like Mexican American or Chinesse American..When we walked in and saw a open kitchen it looked promising, but no smell of Indian Spices... Best thing on the table was the Garlic Naan and mango chutney...After being patient with the waitress from hell, slow slow so slow....We notice there were no Indians in the... More

Really enjoyed my vegetarian meal. Palak peneer was so fresh and the yellow dal was tasty. The service was fabulous. I went early, so there was only a couple of other tables but it started to fill up by the time I left. Would go again.

The food is very good, especially Chicken Tikka Masala was amazing. The Kheer desert was fantastic. The service was nice, but the atmospere wasn't good. It wasn't an Indian decoration, it wasn't modern or it wasn't luxury. But still, Bombay Cafe is a nice restaurant.

I brought 4 friends to this restaurant on Sat 10/12 at 9:20PM having been there before and enjoyed the food at lunch time many times, We sat and ate. It was a quiet evening and there were just 2-3 other parties there. At 10:20PM the waitress brought us desert menus but after 5 mins she came back and said that... More
