We got lucky! A last minute cancellation provided a patio table on the outside edge with views so killer as to disrupt any digestion! The wait staff knew exactly how to feed me and I was impressed with their knowledge of cross contamination prevention. My cousin and I shared a rib eye steak grilled to perfection with the most yummy... More

A beautiful night at The Perch. This roof-top restaurant (french fusion style) is one of my favorite place in the world. The food was excellent (The quality of the Steak-Frites was amazing) perfectly cooked. The truffle Mac&Cheese and parmesan is to die for. The pork belly salad was very tasty and tender. It's not the first time I go to... More

Getting to the rooftop of this vintage building was an adventure in and of itself. We had to switch elevators and walk up a flight of stairs to get there. But when we got there it was absolutely fantastic. The view of the downtown LA and the sunset, the couches and chairs along the edges, the people watching and the... More

Nice views, crowded, beautiful people, but the food was very bland. Steak and fries: very soft fries and tough meat. Salads were very simple. Good wines though. If you like a special place it is worth it, but don't go for very exciting food. Easily spend $100 ++ per person

This place is very popular especially for the happy hour so expect some queuing. When we arrived at the restaurant we were advised we could have a table provided we could vacate it within about 40 mins. That being said we got a great table and in that time did have a glass of wine and a slider each with... More

I loved the ambiance and location of this establishment. The elevator ride upwards was a bit of a pain, well not so much the ride itself but rather the wait for the elevator. Other than that it was fabulous. It is basically a penthouse/rooftop restaurant. Plenty of outside seating available with a nice view. Good staff. We only visited briefly... More

We had drinks on the terasse, nice relaxed atmosphere at reasonable prices for the drinks: $12 cocktails. Suggest booking in advance for dinner as it gets quite busy.

We were lucky to find a table at this popular rooftop restaurant . The view was amazing and lucky us, the blimp was flying around. Food and service were fast; almost too fast, but we enjoyed the experience. The next floor up is a straight up bar with mostly standing options.

Amazing roof top in DTLA with panoramic views of the city. Sunset was glorious with the mountains in the background as well. Drinks are delicious. I didn't stay for dinner, but it smelled divine and would love to go back to try to the French fare.

I made a reservation 3 weeks in advance for my husbands birthday. We were seated right away, but our table was literally sandwiched in between two others within 6 inches of each other with absolutely no privacy. We might as well have been dining with the strangers next to us on either side. I could tell you every word of... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
