If you've never had Cambodian food and are in Long Beach (which has the highest Cambodian population outside Cambodia), Sophy's is a great choice. The menu is very long and confusing but the food is excellent, the prices re decent and the portions are huge.

Wow! So many choices here. You can choose from Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Thai food here. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed my beef jerky like dish that was so unusual. It's one of their specialties. I also enjoyed the drunken noodles with chicken and the Tom Kha Kai. It was fabulous and sweet the way I... More

I don't even try eating Thai food anywhere else in Long Beach anymore, because I found the best spot here. I've eaten in the restaurant but got take out a lot (because we have a baby now) and either way, it's equally delicious. Some of my favourite dishes are the pad se ew, ginger chicken, pad ki mao and the... More

Parking is in the back. The restaurant has changed names so they don't accept Entertainment coupons anymore. We sat down and I ordered Vietnamese beef pho soup and my wife ordered the Pad Thai. Both were very tasty and the price was very reasonable. Service was excellent and I will definitely recommend this place and also go back our selves

We had a great dining experience. The food was delicious; every dish was tasty and spot on. We tried quite a few dishes over our four days in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful. NOTE: Cash only restaurant.

Long Beach has the highest population of Cambodians outside of Cambodia so it made sense to have a great Khmer meal while I was there. I asked for a recommendation on Dengue Fever's Facebook page and they recommended Sophy's, which ended up being right across the street from the hotel where I was staying. Such luck! The food was so... More

Never had Thai or Cambodian food, think if I had gone with someone or had some direction from the staff I would have enjoyed it more. Armed with the reviews I'd read here we ordered the beef jerky, what we received was 5 charred logs of beef. I found it to be tasteless and dry. Nothing like the flexible strips... More

We walked to Sophie's from the Quality Inn across the street. After trying to enter through the double doors which face the street AND with the help of already seated patrons, we were directed around to the back door, off the parking lot, which is actually the main entrance. Odd, as they have double doors which face the street. Once... More

My lunch was simply delicious. It was my first introduction to Cambodian food and the bar has now been set very high. The soup had one of the best broths I've ever tasted--light, flavorful, and so gratifying that I could have had it solo without its vegetables and fish. This place is a gem.

We walked in and were seated promptly by a pleasant young man who took our order and warned us about the "exotic" flavours in the Prahak Kteih. This was a plate of the freshest raw veggies accompanied by a melange of Ground pork and spices with kaffir leaf, coconut, tamarind and picled fish: the last being the "exotic" flavour. This...
