Stopped on drive to Mammoth for Dinner. Their Hamburgers are great. The waitresses were very helpful. I expect to stop again(as in the past) for a very good dinner at Whitney Portal.

Stopped in here to get some advice on our Whitney hike--excellent advice by the way. Picked up a couple souvenirs. Sat out of the picnic tables and enjoyed the view. Munched down a huge helping fries and sipped on a cold beer. Life is good.

It's brilliant to have this place at the bottom of the Mt. Whitney descent. Whatever you've been eating, it hasn't been as good as the burgers from this place. Burgers may seem a little pricey, but they are great. And consider your options, There are...More

Send the camera to Doug at Whitney Portal. Anyone who hiked Whitney or stayed at the campground or visited the store is most likely to look there. The stores closes for the winter so send to the hostel in Lone Pine if closed.
