Place is calked Chief's, but not Smokehouse. Small, clean, outside and inside seating. Small menu, but GREAT food. Had the shrimp poboy, and the jamone and gruyere poboy. Both were excellent and meaty. Highly recommend!

So it says it is a smokehouse cafe but they have recently changed their menu. It is more of a Pub serving local brews and pub style food. Food was fresh, served up hot. Small indoor area next to outdoor "beer" garden area. Both beer and...More

We travel this stretch of 101 a lot and have stopped here quite often. This last time we noticed they really did an amazing job updating the inside and outside seating areas. Food is good, nothing gourmet but impressive ingredients and alternative choices for vegetarians.

The food was gross. There were flies everywhere. This was the most filthy eating establishment I've ever been in. The only good thing about this place was the staff.More

I have been enjoying the Chief for almost 30 years. A few years ago it went under new ownership and it improved SOOO MUCH! The food is fresh cooked, so expect to wait for your burger to be made just right, but it so yummy....More

This place comes close to serving up that honest to goodness old time burger taste. No McDonald's burger here. A good quality hamburger is used and many other foods are available, including BBQ, which I've yet to try, but I've heard lots of good things...More
