After working up an appetite walking along Laguna Beach (and up the hill to the restaurant) we truly enjoyed the tacos and drinks served at Las Brisas. Since we had a puppy with us we ate outdoors (no problemo, this is Laguna Beach after all)...on their patio and enjoyed a nice breeze (perhaps the namesake for the restaurant?) which, with the drinks, helped us cool off. The wait staff was very helpful and prompt. Wait time for our food was appropriate which indicates to me that they aren't suffering too much from COVID staffing issues. This is a higher priced restaurant. You are paying for more than just the food. But if that issue is a problem then there's lots of other places across the street which might be more suited to your pocketbook preferences. But for good food and a great view, this is the place to go.More

Our Birthday dinner of Scallops and Tempura Fried green beans was FANTASTIC, 10 STAR, our server, Hannah was a STELLAR10 Star, attentive, clear explanation of menu items, friendly and quick. Our meal wrapped up w/ chocolate truffle birthday cake that was dry (worse than a...COSTCO CAKE), inedible truffle frosting and was to BE accompanied with a glass of Sandeman, 30 Year, Tawny Port. The bartender decided that we would not know the difference between Tawny Port and the glass of Pino Grigio he gave Hannah to serve us. When we inquired Hannah immediately ran back behind the scenes and returned w/ another glass of what turned out to be a White Port explaining that the bartender told her Las Brisas was out of all of the Red Tawny Ports on the Wine list! Disappointing to say the least but Hannah rose above the Bartenders Wine switch-a-roo shenanigan's and removed both the 1'st (Pino Grigio) and second glass of White port which the Birthday Girl didn't drink. The Bartender needs to be replaced and Hannah needs to be cloned so Las Brisas will be able to gain in positive reviews!More

We dined outdoors and it was a beautiful day. The service was exceptional - Seared Tuna starter was great, the entree's were great. Kale salad was spoken of highly by my guest and the Steak/lobster enchiladas went quickly too. Would 100% come back when I...am in town.More

Highlights: -Expensive -Bland -Poor service -Great view and location My daughter is working in Pageant of the Masters, so for my birthday we had to do dinner nearby so she could make call. I'd been wanting to try Las Brisas having seen it so much...lately, so that's where we went. I knew it would be pricey, but hoped it would be worth it. It wasn't. Tuesday night (tonight) it was pretty empty. Especially since we were eating early. I got the Shrimp and Crab Rellenos. Wife got salmon, and my daughter got the tuna tostadas. Their food was ok, if a bit bland. Serving sizes were tiny for theirs though, while I got two giant chilis. The chilis were such a letdown. They were barely above room temperature, and instead of crab meat, shrimp, and cheese, they were 95% rice. Two clearly frozen tiny shrimp and maybe a smear of cheese. I never tasted any crab meat. It was dry and bland. Waiter started off by correcting me, "It's NEGRA MODELO..." when I ordered a Modelo Negra. Whatever. Label says Modelo Negra. Sue me. Wife ordered coffee which he brought without sweetener or cream, and came back later and offered it. Never came and offered me another beer during the meal even though I finished it pretty quick. Women's bathroom was out of paper towels. When my wife asked the hostess (bathrooms are right next to the hostess station), she said she was "busy". Really? The final nail in this server's coffin: Dude actually CIRCLED the suggested tip section on the check. Seriously? He got less than 10% after that mess. Should have been zero, but in general he'd have to spit on me to get that. I will not be going back. The service was a joke, the food was a joke, and I wish the prices were a joke.More

This place has a great location and the food is good. However, the prices are seriously so high that you just feel ripped off from the beginning. Literally, the most ridiculous prices out of any restaurant I have been to.

Las Brisas is a Mexican cuisine restaurant in Laguna Beach, California. It has beautiful ocean views. Ocean breeze, warm sunshine, relaxed people with laughters, wine, and good food are the reasons for my frequent visits. I had lunch there with friends from Las Vegas on...a Wednesday. The valet was friendly and polite. We enjoyed the quiet seating corner just outside the bar area. The server was friendly and attentive. The food was good. Our conversations were often disrupted by some beautiful ladies passing by the beach walkway. This is my favorite restaurant in Laguna Beach.More

Amazing beach view with beautiful rose garden. Phenomenal service. Great spicy margaritas. I had the steak and lobster enchiladas. Over the top! My companion had the shrimp with wine and rice also very good. Both were favorites. We had Flan for dessert and it was...very good as well. Norma was our waitress and she is a jewel.More

This is a favorite to visit when we are in Laguna. The food is always delicious! We highly recommend the Sea Scallops but everything is delicious. The servers are amazing and deserve a generous tip. But, the hostesses are hit and miss. If one tries...to tell you that you need a reservation or that the restaurant if fully booked, ask to speak with a server or manager. Definitely ask to be seated near a window or outside. The view is gorgeous.More

I ordered the steak and lobster enchiladas at a cost of a little under $40. They had no flavor and were served cold. The rice and beans were flavorless and served cold, too. The guacamole was heavily over salted and the chips were stale. Not...at all impressed with the food and it is over priced. Wait staff were fast. Views from the backside of restaurant were terrific, but you don't have to eat at the restaurant to enjoy them. There is a nice paved walking path accessible from the street. There are better restaurants to dine at in Laguba Beach.More

You can easily walk to downtown area from Las Brisas. If you should need it, there's also a shuttle bus you can catch around the town and back to the restaurant area. You may want to check out that option. Have fun, I know... More
