Our party of four dined here based on the recommendation of a family friend. The restaurant is relatively small and cozy. There was live music that was a wonderful addition to the ambiance of the venue. It was very busy, so reservations are very much recommended. There was not an obvious dress code, as some were dressed for fine dining... More

We've been coming to the Sandbar since the '70s and watched it grow and keep pace with the times. Originally more of a "locals" spot, it now also attracts visitors to the valley. The menu is varied and offers something for everyone...with decent quality. The table to take is one in the bar area where a lively crowd enjoys the... More

A group of six of us had dinner here on January 6th. It is very expensive and the food was basically uneatable. The salads that came with the entries had very little lettuce, was covered with mounds of red onions and was drowned with a gray colored tasteless dressing. Four of us did not eat the salad. One in our... More

A group of 4 of us came in for dinner this week and had the best time! The restaurant is classy yet cozy and they were playing live music which made it really fun. We had requested to be seated in the bar area but it was a little too noisy for our group, 2 in their 80s and the... More

A small restaurant with great food and service. Bill Baker on piano and locals get up to sing with him. Last night there was a trumpet player as well. I had the Osso bucco, it was wonderful and plentiful. My husband had the pork chop. It was delicious, he took half of it home.

We always enjoy the Sandbar. It is like stepping back in time. We make a point of sitting in the bar area...great bartender, excellent service and the entertainer, Bill Baker, draws everyone in and engages the entire room. The owner is generally there to welcome you, and then there's Harpo the clown...what can I say?! Good food & a good... More

Had drinks and appetizers with my girlfriends on the Patio. It was a great spot for people watching. The table outside is a large "share" table that seats 12 or so. Service was great and the food really hit the spot. Food and drinks are plentiful. Owner there greeting and chatting with everyone. Live music inside but we could hear... More

My wife and I have been guests at the Sandbar for over 20 years. Bob Cunard owns and operates the Sandbar and is on the premises each and every night it is open. The food is excellent, the wait staff professional and the bartender knows how to mix cocktails. The clientele is a mix of locals and visitors. Bob makes... More

Service was excellent, food was not. Wife had chicken marsala that was overcooked and tough. I ordered "calamari steak prepared abalone style" - NOT. All abalone I have had has been lightly breaded and sauteed in butter. The calamari "Steak" was about one and a half times as big as a silver dollar with about 1/3" of breading and overcooked... Great place to meet locals. It is a little old school. Service is excellent. The piano bar is a fun place to hang around
