First, we really enjoyed the view. But, to be up front, since the restaurant is adjacent to the sea lions and the cove, it was pretty stinky. I didn't mind too much, but my wife's breakfast was spoiled a bit by the smell. Nevertheless the food was tasty I had corned beef and poached egg, with creme fraiche and horseradish.... More

A highly recommended breakfast place with locals and non residents. It is in a charming old house overlooking Seal Point and La Jolla Cove. (Points off for that horrible smell, even tho it certainly isn't their fault.) Anyway, back to breakfast, when in La Jolla one must go and have the Coast Toast. Tip: split an order--it's a huge serving.... More

This restaurant is one of the favorites of locals and visitors alike. It is open 7 days a week and has outside and inside seating. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but the area is so gorgeous you will have an extra treat if you park "wherever" and walk to it. They have great coffee and good food.... More

Tried this place years ago whil traveling on business and didn't have a good overall experience but wanted to give it another try while on apersonal trip. I anticipated the smell which is somewhat out of their control but I still can't figure out the staff as its like they don't realize they are supposed to be providing service. You... More

Neat, casual place with gorgeous view and good service. I think it is exactly what you need after getting tired of wave jumping and exploring the beaches.

Wow what a great little restaurant in an awesome historic villa. The staff were really accommodating and the food was fantastic, we could have sat here all day. The only little thing is the smell... This is certainly not the fault of the restaurant but the fact that there is a seal colony just over the road and the aroma... More

I love this place. The food is always amazing. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They also have a sister restaurant called Beaumonts in Birdrock..

View is nice. Food was alright. Service was slow even though they were not busy. Male waiter wasn't great and seemed annoyed we had children. Female waitress was very nice and helpful. I know it's not their fault but smell really was bad! I would go somewhere else next time.

Thank RMFD
