The view is amazing. The place is Middle Eastern with American flavors and attracts many students. The decor is old furniture that few people think is cute while others feel it is dirty. The employees are not polite but not rude either. The food is OK, the coffee is good but nothing amazing

Arriving as a stranger in La Jolla I asked someone in a gallery where I would find a good coffee. I was recommended to go to The Living Room and I was not disappointed. An excellent Americano and a tasty almond croissant were enjoyed sitting outside in prime people watching position. Inside the attractive decor has a Spanish feel about... More

After an early photo session with the sea lions at the Cove (separate review), we look for early breakfast: everybody is still asleep. Then, we discover the Living Room. Happiness, your name is Eclectic European settings with full bar, no less, i.e. the Living Room. It's open before 8 AM, featuring everything, fresh warm croissants, European pastries, bagels, coffee and... More

Stopped in for a quick bite over lunch as we had to rush to the airport. We were immediately tempted by the pastry case. Service was warm and friendly and helpful: we had a soy latte which wasn't bad, but meh. We had a veggie sandwich with provolone on sourdough snd it was good. With the large number of choices... Stopped for coffee while on vacation this week. Capuccino, meh. Pastry case looked phenomenal, esp Black Forest Cheery tort. "Living Room" tables were messy. Unkempt. Doubt we would go back. Not much of an Ocean view either.

Asked a local shop keeper. Advice was you can turn right for Starbucks of left for. They serve the best coffee. The large latte I had was certainly excellent & just to my taste. & with a view of the Pacific ocean at the back another unexpected delight. Large & individual selection of food & drinks with interesting interior décor.... More

This place has a very unique decor (almost like the coffee house on the show Friends). This turned out to be a great place to go for a smoothie and a sandwich or small dessert after watching the sunset at La Jolla Cove. We were here on three different evenings.

I went to this place yesterday for the first time. Food looked good in the menu posted outside, so decided to try it. The sandwiches come with a side salad so I asked to substitute the salad for French fries and I was told no with a rather "I don't care" attitude by some lady that might have been the... More

While on vacation in La Jolla, my wife and I stopped by this place twice. First night: We were not greeted by the waitress/worker/cashier as we approached to place an order. We stood there until a second waitress/worker/cashier came over to us and then, rather than take our order, asked a second couple standing behind us for their order. When... More

Stopped in for a drink and saw the most amazing looking huge brownie in the desert case. Since I was by myself and would have consumed it all, had to get out of there quick before my will power weakened. Just waiting to go back with someone to share it with. My mouth is beginning to water just writing this... More
