I used a groupon to have dinner here for a birthday. The food was great and the presentation great. The only thing is they don’t have a large view for seeing the ocean and the sunset like I would prefer. You can see the ocean...More

While in beautiful La Jolla, California we had the opportunity to dine at the Crab Catcher for a Saturday brunch. We had a nice view of the ocean as we dined to a variety of fare. They specialize, obviously, in seafood, but I had a...More

My wife and I wandered in for lunch after talking to a couple in town who had eaten a wonderful dinner there the night before. The restaurant is not obvious from the street - below street level in a small building with a central courtyard....More

We drove here straight from the airport. Crab benedict was amazing. The view was great. Brunch offers included $10 bottles of champagne.

There are some great views of the bay as it sits just above the waterfront. I cannot complain about the food though I thought it was bit pricey for what it was.

Just call the Crab Catcher and tell them it is your Anniversary and that you want a window seat, and they will reserve it for you. That it exactly what we did in advance.

I agree with what appears to be a consensus -- no dress code and not a dressy place, but it's a nice restaurant in a very upscale community, so "smart casual" is good.
