We did the 7 course meal and it was such a treat. We had a surprise at every course. For the salad, we each received a different salad. Of course, we tasted everything on the table ;o} Every course was like that except the crab pasta. We received the same food and it was absolutely the most marvelous dish. It... More

The quality of both food and service was excellent. We both had roast lamb which was presented in a “nouvelle cuisine” style. At first sight it looked rather meager but the flavours were delicious and we found the meal to be very satisfying. A very interesting range of craft beers was offered and I found the “.394” to be remarkably... More

The restaurant is located in downtown La Jolla, two blocks to the ocean, so it is nice to come early and enjoy the coastline before dinner or after lunch. We can usually find a free parking place a couple of blocks from the restaurant. The decor is traditional dark wood, and the waiters are attentive. We had sea bass, which... More

We had heard of this place, but didn't think to visit until some relatives gave us a gift card. We were not disappointed. The service and ambience were excellent. We started off with a delicious roasted carrot appetizer and foie gras. Both were so good, we finished them -- risking being too full for the rest of our dinner. Our... More

We had two breakfasts and one dinner at Nine-Ten during our recent visit to La Jolla ... and it is a very solid choice in every regard. Varied menu. Good, attentive service. Comfortable setting. Great location. The Grande Colonial is a beautiful, historic hotel and anchors one end of the 'the strip' of restaurants, shopping, and hotels that is downtown... More

My friend who is from La Jolla, recommended 9-10. It feels elegant and secluded and food is very nice. I have a squash and pear salad with slices of cheese. Dry nicely dressed. My friend enjoys her Cobb. From the little I ate, I was impressed. Great for lunch andlikely dinner.

Nice decor, great service with many of the condiments and dishes being made in the kitchen from scratch. Best ever soup of the day. Food and presentation was above average. As I tend to comment on cappuccino's ( being my favorite ) I have to admit mine was not hot. We'll be back. :)
