The French bistro is gone now but the Shore Rider restaurant in its place is delicious! Fun, carefree beach atmosphere, good food, nice selection of wine and craft beers.

We stopped here for a later brunch and found the most fantastic crepes on the menu. My wife indulged in a wonderful berry filled trio of crepes and I decided to go with an omelette dish with a combination of fillings I had never seen before. Both were incredible.

I wasn't sure about this place, but I thought my breakfast was delicious. And after trying out the other restaurants in the area, would rate this as one of the top two. It's pricey, but so is everything in the area. Dinner was meh (in my experience), but the breakfast was fantastic. And you can't skip the guava mimosa!

Cute place friendly service food was very average. Poached eggs overcooked could not even cut through the English muffin for the eggs Benedict. They were very busy and seem to be a little disorganized. Slow service. They were very kind and sweet to my two-year-old grandson and accommodating to his needs.

We found this little place and enjoyed our lunch here on a number of occasions; their breakfast was also great. Would recommend the bread is also lovely!

We had lunch two days running while in the beach. Most other customers clearly regulars - always a good sign. I had different fish sandwiches both days. Both good - especially Tuna. Daughter loves burger and wife smiled at club and chicken panini. Beer and wine reasonably priced. Great afternoon spot.

The Bistro is located a short walk from the La Jolla Shores Beach in the midst of surfing and kayak shops and other cafes. After a long beach walk we came across this inviting patio with colorfull umbrellas. The waiter was friendly and hospitable. The short menu had a nice variety of appealing egg dishes. Menu orders of Two Eggs... More

Our only regret is that we were only in La Jolla for the 1 day so could not go back again! Food was delicious :-) Good sized largish portions - I had a super tasty salad and the chicken breast was mouth wateringly good! :-) Sun or shade, everyone could find a seat to be comfortable. I was particularly impressed... More

Description
Cafe Solange is a neighborhood restaurant with a unique Parisian style bakery and coffee shop. It is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and afternoon happy hour. We serve a delectable array of freshly baked pastries, soups, salads, sandwiches, and more. The beer and wine bar has an exquisite selection of both local and French wines, as well as local microbrews on draft. Here at Cafe Solange, our mission is a humble one. It is simply to create an environment that invites guests to travel with us to the iconic Parisian street, Avenue Emille Zola, complete with a view of our Eiffel Tower. A place of well-being and happiness, where great stories are shared with others, and just as important, comfortable cuisine accented by subtle French details, such as our house made vinaigrettes and Hollandaise sauce. Our menu is set up to reflect our guests' desires. Even though we're French, our breakfast offerings include a great variety of pancakes served with a homemade berry puree. Come and enjoy our French culture with a glass of Bordeaux, or one of our local microbrews on draft. Our Patio is pet friendly, so bring your companion as they do in France !!!
