About
The Lodge’s signature restaurant, A.R. Valentien, highlights regional San Diego cuisine served in an elegant, timbered indoor-outdoor dining room overlooking the 18th hole of Torrey Pines Golf Course. Executive Chef Jeff Jackson sources only the best local provisions, and the menu changes frequently based on seasonal fare available. The restaurant takes its name from a talented early 20th-century California artist whose works are exhibited throughout the restaurant.

Wonderful atmosphere and the server was very attentive. The food was good. The wine we pared with our meals was fantastic.

Dinner at the Lodge during the holidays is a special treat. On Thursday’s, Fridays and Saturdays carolers sing around und the tree in the festively decorated lobby. Mulled wine and fruit cake are there for listeners to enjoy. The menu has enough choices for a...More

We had a memorable meal at Valentien's. Sitting outdoors under an old beautiful tree in the early evening was just beautiful. The food and service was excellent as were the cocktails. Cant beat the ambience.

Beautiful restaurant on an October evening, dinner outside. Well-chosen wines, beautiful dishes. Mashed potatoes as you have not had it before and service there to Serve. Flexibel and kind. Reasonable price.

If nothing else, the setting of the lodge and the view from the restaurant is worth a stop. Good selection of both seafood and meat in American style modified with Californian touch, but still hearty. Wine selection is extensive and the service is excellent. Overall,...More

Get a table outside (they have warmers), get there while there is light, watch the sun set over the golf course. Food is a touch precious and expensive but it is worth the splurge.
