I took East coast friends to Rubio's to enjoy fish tacos because that's just part of the experience when visiting La Jolla or southern CA. As much as I love Rubio's fish tacos though, the new quinoa/mango salad caught my eye and I'm glad I...More

This Rubio's location has never been especially good, but in my last visit, the portions were smaller and the service was poor. I used to enjoy Rubio's fish taco's, but not anymore.

The first restaurant was opened in 1983 in San Diego by Ralph Rubio and his father, Ray, who started the fish taco phenomenon that spread across the nation. Today, Rubio’s menu has grown from The Original Fish Taco® to include additional chef-crafted seafood recipes that feature shrimp, wild salmon and ono. In addition to sustainable seafood, Rubio’s offers chargrilled chicken and steak, fresh made guacamole and salsas and sauces that are prepared daily.
