We loved this restaurant. Great service, food and ambiance. We had the Gyros, Sea Bass and Riganato... and brought back doggie bags for all. The portions were extremely generous and the prices were reasonable. Initially, I rated the restaurant as "Very Good" but upon reflection they deserve an "Excellent" for this visit.

We were looking for a quick bite and had followed the GPS to what we thought was going to be a Five Guys, but instead the hubby noticed Apollonia and suggested we try it. I am so glad we did. We lunched al fresco on a perfect April afternoon. Our server was attentive and right on task. We both had... More

We arrived late afternoon to our hotel in La Jolla (Marriott) and were hungry. Of the close-by restaurants on Trip Advisor, this one sounded good, was very highly rated and was just a short walk away. It happened to be Happy Hour when we arrived (before 6)--nice surprise. We ordered wine and several small plates (pita/humus, spanakopita, kabobs, falafel, Greek... More

We went there in connection with San Diego Restaurant Week. One of our party had some serious allergy issues. The waitress listened carefully and brought food that totally conformed to our specifications and the food was delicious. Some of the food ordered came from the special SDRW menu and some came from the regular menu. The portion sizes were all... More

We so enjoyed a variety of food last night, from the chicken kebabs to delicious gyros, and meatballs as well. The spanikopita was very delightful and flaky. My kids really delighted in the many flavors.

This restaurant has one of the best happy hours I have been to. They feature many appetizers reasonable prices. My Stella Artois was $3.00. We had some chicken kabobs on the happy hour menu for a low price. Parking is good. Traffic from most directions around 5:00 PM is terrible.

Apollonia is located in a shopping center across from University Town Center. The restaurant is nicely decorated has a full bar with televisions and lots of tables inside as well as out on a patio. They have a good menu with salads and Greek dishes. I had the moussaka which was made with eggplant not potatoes and the lamb filling... More

A contender for the best Greek restaurant in Southern California, For 28 years, Apollonia (formerly Aesop's Tables) has been the destination of choice for La Jollans with an appetite for Greek delicacies. The restaurant has a handsome outdoor patio where shaded alfresco dining is delightful. Venture inside and you will find a charming ambiance in every dining room and in the beautiful lounge. The menu includes age-old favorites such as Dolmades and Moussaka, alongside some absolute surprises guaranteed to tantalize your adventurous curiosity. The menu offers many heart-healthy items prevalent in Greek cuisine and are suitable to those who follow a restricted diet yet like the joys of eating and the finer things of life. Apollonia's service is very friendly and as pleasant as the food.
