Tucked away at the state line between California and Nevada at the north end of Lake Tahoe is a mis-en-place log cabin with white tablecloths and wait staff that really know what they are doing. And that's the part you can see! Hidden somewhere is a chef and kitchen staff that offer beautiful plates of clear fresh plates of pure... More

Tucked behind the cheesy casinos at stateline is this tiny wood cabin. When I say tiny, I'm tall and have to duck inside. But, the restaurant and setting is very intimate and romantic. Oh yeah....and the food is amazing.

The welcome was as warm and delightful as the meal, which was excellent. This log cabin gem sits on the California/Nevada state line near the main "highway" linking the states. The menu selection was very good, the starting blended zucchini soups was very tasty, the main salad was very healthy, fresh and abundant with field greens, watermelon radishes, mandarin oranges... We had a date night at this "best place to take a date for 17-years" restaurant. The cabin is original and lovely. The history is fascinating. The staff can answer so many questions! They decorate with local artists and pieces are for sale! The food...oh my. QUITE good! We had some of the best steak ever. The wine was lovely,... More

We had a wonderful dinner in the warm and cozy log cabin restaurant. I had the scallops and my husband had the sole special. Both were delicious. We had great service from our waiter named Todd. It was a wonderful experience.

When we book a trip to Tahoe the thing we lock in immediately after a place to stay is a reservation at The Soule Domain. Everything's yummy on the seasonal menu and the nightly specials are exciting. They have fun with spice. It's always a treat to snuggle in at this uncrowded, off-the-beaten-bath gem.

I realized I have been to this place so many times but never wrote the review. It is a major dereliction of duty! This place has to be in the top 3 restaurants I ever visited in my life. It is simply so good because of its unique setting, romantic ambiance, highly impressive and diverse menu, excellent service and reasonable... More
