We had a wonderful meal and the service was very good. The owner came and had a chat and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. If you're staying in the hotel, or elsewhere in Jamestown, this restaurant should be top of your list

Thank you for your wonderful review. We try to provide the finest in dining, that is possible in the market in which we operate. Had a really nice late lunch. I ordered the club sandwich which was delicious but so big I took 2 of the 3 slices back to the hotel and shared with hubby for a late night snack. The coffee. What can I say. One of the best cups of coffee I've had in a long time. Yummy lunch in a... More

The four of us strolled into the Dining Room for Dinner. Decor matched the rest of the hotel (Edwardian Style). They restaurant was fairly full but our waitress bustled up and quickly got us seated and asked if we wanted a pre-dinner cocktail. We ordered a round of cocktails and expertly prepared Martinis and Margaritas appeared. We just needed mains,... More

Great food and excellent service. We had lunch on the patio. Not too hot as there was a grape vine for shade.

We went for Sunday lunch on a hot, hot day. The little town was almost asleep in the midday inferno, and we were glad we had booked lunch in air-conditioned comfort. The decor is a good amalgamation of late 19th century and New England opulence, with deep carpets. The owner was on hand to discuss the menu, and check that... More

We arrived just minutes before opening for lunch on a weekday and as the only diners had the lovely dining room all to ourselves! We enjoyed sitting by the front window and having a relaxed lunch. The waitress was friendly and attentive, really a very pleasant young lady. My husband chose the club sandwich and I chose the cobb salad.... More

Thank you so much for your positive review. We take a lot of pride in the quality of our dining experience. Most of the produce at this time of the year is grown on premises or otherwise, locally. We also bake our sourdough bread that we serve, in addition to fresh baked hamburger buns and steak rolls. Thank you, again. More

If you're a huge fan of 19th century history than this is a cool restaurant. It definitely feels like you're back in the 1800s. I got the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and veggies. The beers they had were also unique. My girlfriend got the steak with a baked potato and veggies and the steaks were really good! We came... More

Booked this on line at quite short notice, what a find! From outside the hotel has the appearance of old America, wooden sidewalk and balcony. Walked inside and felt like we had stepped back in time. Heather, who helped check us in was friendly, and helpful.as were all of the staff at the hotel. Our room was cute and came... More

Food was wonderfully prepared and tasty. I dinned here all three times on my 3 night stay. I specifically wanted to try the prime rib and was not disappointed. Beautifully cooked and was had the garlic mashed potatoes. The highlight for me was the carrot ginger soup. For the quality of the food and service the price point was just... More

Thank you for your response in Trip Advisor. Indeed, we take a lot of pride in our upscale dining. We grow our own herbs, use local organic produce, whenever we can, and bake most of our breads. Should also mention, that our desserts are house made. We look forward to having you as our guest, again. More

This place is restored to the original appearance, and you feel like you are in a time warp. The bar, the restaurant, and the hotel are the same way they were in the late 1800"s.

Douglas...Thank you for your wonderful comments. In part, due to the many western films that were made here over the years, there have been many film stars in our establishment. We have a reputation for quality dining and the stars find us when in the area. More
