I had the chicken tamales - nice, soft dough and lots of meat. emjoyed having the option of regular pintos instead of the ubiquitous retried beans. Ample portions.
We've been going to Progresso for nearly 40 years. We've always found it enjoyable. Nothing fancy, but good food.

The food overall was just okay, as was the service. The dinner salad was bagged lettuce and tired. I guess they are know for the tamales, which were good but nothing to rave over. Pretty sure I would not return.
Old restaurant located in a classic building in downtown. The food is awesome and we enjoy the service from Lilly. She is very attentive as we visit frequently.
Authentic, tasty, great tortilla soup, YUMMY flour tortilla chips, excellent salsa, smooth margaritas! Every time I come, I order the Burritos Rancheros. I'm hooked on them!
