Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our experience was disappointing compared to a few years ago - the food was ordinary, the service size of the vegetable Thai green curry in the larger section of the menu was an entree sized bowl of mainly sauce - hardly any veges - definitely...not enough for a meal. Maybe the idea is that you are supposed to fill up on the steamed rice which cost $5 for a huge serve but we like our veges and protein. The serving staff were attentive and helpful and the drinks were good - but that did not make up for the poor quality of the food.More

Had a great dinner here last week - ordered Prawn & Chives dumplings and Eggplant Tempura for entrees to share. Main was the divine Barramundi Curry … that sauce is amazing … so much depth & flavour. Lovely surrounds - would recommend.

This place was very expensive for the amount of food that we got. The food tasted ok not spectacular. Service was good. For some reason this place was packed. Not sure I understand why

Beyond a pleasant surprise as we were greeted by very professional staff and taken through the restaurant which took my breathe away with coolness! As for the food, it was ‘legit’ the creations were mind blowing, strong authentic Asian roots but with a creative twist...that mustered flavours that I will carry forever. It was a Wow factor for me! Thank you, I will be back!More

Ordered takeaway, the place sounded very busy over the phone. Once we picked up the food we realised that they had made a mistake with one of the dishes, Called them straight away and they were kind enough to refunded the money that they charged...and gave us the dish we actually ordered for free. Food was really good and we enjoyed it. Would come back if we ever visit Adelaide again.More

If you find yourself at this restaurant, the best advice is that there is a better one nearby, Cocobello. Go there instead. We inadvertently left our face masks in our car - the sign did say that masks were not required when seated. We apologised,...recognised that the risk of a fine was ours and went to hurry to sit down. We were stopped by rude, unreasonable and aggressive staff who would not even let us tell our seated friends that we had been refused entry. No masks, even disposables, we’re provided by the venue. When our friends realised what was happening and came out, they too were berated by the same staff member. So we all went to Cocobello- friendly staff, great hospitality and amazing food - with disposable masks available. No more Singapore House but plenty more visits to Cocobello.More

This restaurant is close by so have been here a number of times, however, always leave with a giant bill and disappointed. A lot of the food is nice, however, a lot is quite ordinary. Don't do the tasting menu. Much better value to order...individual food you actually want rather than cheap ordinary dishes that they are trying to bulk out the menu with. I love a Singapore Sling. DO Not order one unless you like ice. Although they manage to get the flavour right, after two sips, it was gone...$11.00 per sip! Ouch!More

Hubby booked Singapore House for my birthday to celebrate with family. Amazing modern Asian food. Plenty in each serve to share amongst our table. Prices reasonable. Great cocktail list. Venue noisy which meant we had to shout to hear across our table. Could do with...a few extra waitressing staff. Overall, Happy with our experience. Can tick it off the list of “must visit” restaurants in Adelaide. Won’t make my favorite list though.More

We went to dinner at Singapore House last night and we were expecting good things after a great dining experience there a few years ago. It didn’t turn out that way, the food was ordinary and the staff unhelpful. The restaurant was busy and we...felt that were being rushed through our meal so that the table would be available for the next seating. Altogether an unpleasant dining experience.More

We went as a group of 7 and ordered 11 dishes plus rice and naan but it simply wasn't enough. All the dishes were tiny servings. $18 for 3 dumplings the size of an egg yoke is ridiculous. Menu is not extensive (unlike the fabulous...wine list) and poorly presentedMore

We have dined at Singapore House many times and most times are happy with the food and service. Service was okay, but very disappointing with the order our food was delivered for our banquet!! All meat, tofu and seafood dishes were delivered and quite tasty,...though the butter chicken was a very small serve for us to share! All dishes shared and finished, until now the bowl of vegetables arrives. A little late we thought as we couldn’t mix with our meat dishes, still we managed to finish veggies. Now ten minutes later after all dishes are finished and bowls removed they deliver our two baskets of naan bread!! Very disappointing, especially considering it was booked for our wedding anniversary through the restaurant and not even a congratulations. Can’t say I’ll be returning now, considering it wasn’t really that busy!! Can do much better!More
