Nice place, modest but yummy food, great local bands! There's outdoor seating just across the sidewalk, too, where they'll also serve food and drink - which means you can bring your well-behaved dog!

A bar turned into a brew pub with occasional tasting festivals and nightly live music, the Bistro is open morning to night serving excellent bar and grill food. Next door to an independent bookstore worth a visit.

Had dinner here a few of times. First time it was ok, the next visits were not so good. Maybe there was a different chef. The place is a little dark and dreary looking. Will not be back.

Don't bother, save yourself the disappointment. Relatively high price to get service that was mediocre. Food was blaugh and the portion was small. There are too many other decent places to eat near here to waste your time.

Small beer bar in Hayward with live music most nights. They have a good rotating selection of IPAs and a few other beers, but if you are into light beers, this isn't the place for you. Nice outside seating area with an interesting set of people.

I've been going here since the 80's and I still like it. They always have good beer and it's cool that you can just walk in and enjoy the music.

Great people, great live music, great beer, great wine, great bartenders, great vibe, great events (i.e.IPA Fest, Double IPA Fest, St Patty's corned beef, etc...). It is not a restaurant, but they will pair cheese with your beer or wine. On weekends it get crowded, with loud music(often local blues, jazz, or jam bands) No pool tables, but they are... More

My companion and I dined here only because of what appeared to be a great deal from a major national coupon service which offered a three-course dinner with champagne with a retail value of over $100 for only $49. The restaurant is only a few miles from our home and I was curious about what seemed to be a nearby... More

First of all, don't expect to eat at the Bistro, at least at 9pm on a weeknight. I'm not sure they even have a kitchen. What the "joint" has are friendly customers, live music, and a great choice of beers. This is a local bar, but I didn't get any sort of vibe that I was not welcome. Have a... More
