Good Chinese food. Nothing fancy. Ate with the family and the staff was good and the wait time was not to long.

came here halfway from San Francisco to Carmel and thought that with a name like Half Moon Bay, this would be such a happening place to stop by. was nice! i'm sure there are long term visitors to Half Moon Bay and from the number of take-away phone calls the restaurant took there are residents who dine here/from here. its... Never ever again. Currently leaving the parking lot. Had to toss our $30 dinner. Inedible. Chicken with twist of orange tasted like lemon pledge. Fried rice tasted like white rice with rotten scrambled eggs. My husband's mango chicken tasted "off" with slimy mushrooms. Stay away!!!

don't order a dish with spinach in it. it was inedible. you know how much spinach shrinks when you steam it? well mine came steamed and it was still as big as pie plates, which means the stems were like the base of a broom. i mentioned that i don't think this is what they want to present as a... Having been to China a handful of times, my palate has little tolerance for the non-authentic Americanized version of Chinese food. This is my "go to" Chinese place on the Coastside. It is a small place (perhaps 10 tables) with a large menu and a vigorous take-out and delivery business. The chefs were speaking Chinese. The service is very friendly... More

What absolutely delicious dishes! I found myself exclaiming, "Yum!" over and again. Perfectly cooked vegetables in tasty sauces. They offered brown rice which is our preference. The staff was kind and helpful, and we were swiftly served. Finding China House was just good luck as we traveled through Half Moon Bay, but we'll be planning on stopping there for meals... More

On our first visit to Half Moon Bay a few years ago this place was recommend to us by our hotel because they deliver. We ordered a GREAT meal from them and now we look forward to eating here every time we visit. Our family is vegetarian and China House has a vegetarian menu that is excellent. This time we... More

Time and time again when eating here, the food has been consistently wonderful. Lunchtime and dinner. Fresh ingredients show through and the sauces are amazingly flavorful. China House is our go to for when we need dinner delivered, they are fast and the food gets to us steaming even though we are 10 miles away.

Description
Relatively new. I think it opened about 6 montha ago? It's got great food at great prices - it's answered my prayers for a great Chinese restaurant here on the San Mateo County coast. Mango chicken is to die for, and only $8.
