We had just seen the lunch pails that the Cornish miners used at the North Star mine, so before leaving town we picked up two Jenny sized beef pasties to eat in the car later. The chipper 83 year old fifth generation Grass Valley lady...More

Good authentic pasties, on the corner where you can sit outside and enjoy your meal and people watch.

No frills cafe to linger over your cuppa and a warm pasty - a large choice of fillings. Or order from the to-go counter where you can also find a few expensive but authentic British imports.(Chocolate digestives, mint sauce, anyone?)

By far the best pasties available in a 100 mile radius. A must try for locales and visitors alike. You will not be disappointed in this great little treasure of the gold country.

This is a shop with an adjacent restaurant. Pasties are a staple food in Cornwall UK. And the taste for them was brought with them by the miner immigrants during the gold mining era. Cousin Jacks makes 'em just like in Cornwall, but with more...More

These pasties are frozen and reheated. There is relatively no filling. I like crust, so the lack of filling was ok for a minute. But the crust is pretty nondescript.

I had the Broccoli Cheese pastie and it was delicious. We sat down and didn't get it to go. There are two entrances, one for take out, one for sitting down. The seating is tiny, they have a tiny selection of English food. Wish the...More

I love this place a lot! I love the veggy pasty there. Sometimes i miss my life in UK and i would go there because their food and interior of the cafe remind me a lot about it.

We HAD to find a spot for pasties after visiting the Empire Mine. Cousin Jack's was closed but they let us sit on the patio and made pasties for us anyway. Now THAT'S service. Everyone loved their pastie - I was thrilled with the vegetarian...More
